My condo completed in March 2017 is a 1br 2 full bath condo and is for those clients who demand only the best in everything. Upon entering the keyless front door you will greeted with a sweeping 180° direct oceanfront views of the Caribbean blue sea that includes the historic old city. You may never leave the oversized balcony with plush seating and a padded large lounge chair for afternoon naps gazing at the ocean or embracing the beautiful sunsets. This same view is available with floor-to-ceiling glass from both the bedroom and the living room so that every minute your breath will be taken away. The bedroom includes a new king size plush mattress with luxurious sheets and comforter. The master bath is very comfortable with good counter and cabinet space and has a spectacular rainfall shower, and yes hot water . In the living room you'll find a beautiful new sofa that converts to a full-size bed if needed. There's a comfy extra chair also in the living room in addition to a new 55 inch ultra 4K HD television that includes several English channels. The kitchen includes all stainless steel high-end appliances and granite countertops with a separate wine refrigerator for those enthusiast🍷 The second bathroom is oversized and also includes a large rainfall shower. There is a new washing machine and dryer in the laundry room and a utility sink for cleaning up Beach gear 😎 The apartment includes high-speed Wi-Fi and air-conditioning although the ocean breezes may sway you to leave the balcony door open . The name of my building is Morros City, located in Bocagrande the direct center of the most popular tourist Beach and less than 1 mile to the walled city. This developer has now set a new standard of luxury in Cartagena facing the sea. The amenities include 24 hour security inside and out. There is a beautiful expansive lobby with a guard at the reception desk that will greet you when you arrive. The grand circular entrance to this building is like arriving to a resort hotel with beautiful landscaping and excellent lighting at night . The pool located on the 7th floor oceanfront is absolutely stunning with couches, beds and even lounge chairs built in the pool, it's equal to a five-star resort, and there is a separate pool for small children and a large jacuzzi oceanfront. There is a gym facing the ocean with your favorite cardio machines and free weights in addition to a steam room and sauna. I have personally selected every item inside my beautiful condo and I promise you will be impressed. Another very good reason to consider my property is you will always be dealing directly with me the owner from the very first contact you will always be able to reach me by telephone, I have both USA and Colombia number. I live in Colombia and providing you the best vacation experience for you is my only goal . Often dealing with agencies can be very challenging here so I offer my personal service to ensure your only focus Is having a wonderful vacation. This is not strictly a rental property this is my vacation home also so it will always be maintained at the very highest level. The property is located right on Bocagrande Beach. It is a short taxi ride to Centro and an easy walk to local restaurants, coffee shops etcThe high floor adds to the quietness of the location and gives a great view of the city and the fireworks were a treat. Sky High in Cartagena

This condo is simply amazing. It is situated on the 38th floor directly on the coast with amazing views of the Caribbean Sea and El Centro. The building has security and the condo itself was immaculate and nicely appointed. There are many restaurants nearby and the walled city (El Centro) and Getsemaní are a quick Uber away. However, the best part of this rental is Tom, the owner. He was always available to answer any question I had. And he was very informative even prior to my arrival. I would highly recommend this condo and I would definitely stay here again!

Incredible 12 day stay at this property. Definitely one to revisit again! The place exceeded expectations and was more beautiful than we could have imagined in terms of location and hospitality by Tom. Tom introduced to us to Alvaro a private driver and Deisy a cleaning lady, and they were just as professional and accommodating. We felt safe, taken care of and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Tom helped us with anything we needed and went out of his way to ensure our comfort. Excellent Vacation

What an amazing place cartagena is and what made it even better was Tom and his amazing condo. Ever since I booked the condo he was communicating with me. Not only did he give us vidoes of the place but every single question he answered no matter how many there was. He also gave us some grear food choices in the walled city and trips to islands for a beach day with beautiful water. The best host we ever had before. The location was perfect. Right on the water but close to so many restaurants even McDonald which was almost right out the front door. The taxi/Uber drive was 10 minutes the most to the walled city. If we ever come back we will be renting from him again. Thanks for an unbelievable vacation.

Paradise in Cartagena

From the moment we saw photos on the VRBO site and read all the positive reviews, we knew this was the place for us to stay on our 10 day trip to Cartagena. And we were not wrong! Paradise on 38 is exactly what the name says, paradise. The apartment is amazing and views from the balcony are breathtaking. Even 38 stories up you can still hear waves crashing into the beach far below. Sunsets were stunning and so peaceful to watch while having a glass of wine on the balcony. The view is constantly changing depending on the time of day and never gets boring. Tom is an A++ host. You can tell he takes great pride in his home and it definitely shows. He gave us great advice on things to do, restaurants, grocery shopping, etc. He makes sure your stay from check-in to departure is flawless, and it was. The apartment is very well located and for us was an easy walk of about 30 minutes to the old town. If you choose to take an Uber or taxi it is only a few dollars. Restaurants are in abundance both right around the property and also in the old town. In summary, you don't need to look any further for the perfect accommodation while visiting Cartagena!

First international solo traveler

So, August 27th was my 30th birthday. Only a month prior, I made the decision to go to Cartegena to celebrate. To my luck, I found this beautiful condo listing. I got even more lucky that the property was managed by Mr Tom. He was the best host I've ever experienced. He gave me a lot of tips in navigating the city, the correct way. From prices, to suggestions, to a list of restaurants to visit. This guy was on it. It can be quite nerve wrecking, to plan an international solo trip, but magically this trip was the best and among the easiest. I planned and planned for a month and everything seem to fall right into place within a timely manner. Being paired with this host was just icing on top of the cake. Mr Tom also out me with his personal driver, Mr Alvaro! Really good guy. He took me where I needed to go, upon arriving. He also brought me back to the airport, when it was my time to return home to the states. This made it that much easier to land in a foreign country and hit the ground running, just as I intended. Imagine not having to really organize much, as far as transportation. You have it all right there at your fingertips. Just convenient. The host was very accommodating. When I withdrew too much money from the ATM, he made it easy for me to reverse that mistake. When I was too tired to go out for dinner, on my last night, Mr Tom ordered a pizza and had it sent right to me. What other host is going to do that? Psh. This guy was A1 in his hosting abilities. I am very blessed to have been paired with these guys. This is really going to spoil me. This first experience has set the bar very high for my future solo travels. I am excited to continue to explore the world. Hopefully there are more Mr Toms out there, for I know this will make my future travels that much more enjoyable. Thank you! Tom & Paola

Wonderful stay in Cartagena!

Paradise in Cartagena. We had a great stay in this beautiful condo. Very clean and wonderful views! Plenty of room for our family with the kids on the pullout couch (7 & 10 years). The second full bathroom was great with 4 of us. The best part was the owner, Tom. I've never had better communication with an owner. He got us settled in and recommendations for restaurants which were spot on! He gave us very accurate prices for taxis around the city and he set up a great beach day to Playa Blanca. We would definitely stay in paradise next time in Cartagena.

This place was amazing and truly indeed Paradise. The place was as advertised — clean, beautifully decorated, bed was super comfortable, 2 full baths with amazing showers, phenomenal view especially during sunsets, and had a clothes washer and dryer. Tom, the owner, was super helpful in providing us with recommendations for some great restaurants and very responsive when we had questions. Tom also helped us booking a trip to Playa Blanca. Every Vrbo should come with a Tom!

This was the first time I’ve ever had a Vrbo owner be so involved in helping me have the absolute best experience. Tom answered my millions of questions before arriving, provided us with the best restaurants, setup a driver to get us at the airport and take us to one of the islands for added safety, and he and his wife even helped to book our island day trips! The owner (Tom) was excellent. He was there every step of the way to ensure I had no issues getting checked in. He gave me a phone call to explain things about the property which was very helpful. He helped me find good restaurants to eat at. He also connected me with a very nice driver to pick me up from the airport. I will definitely book with him again once I return to Colombia.

The place is absolutely beautiful. A fantastic view of the city of Cartagena from our balcony. Beautiful sunsets and beautiful people. Relaxing retreat in Cartagena

We spent 11 days in this well-situated apartment in Bocagrande. The view of the ocean & of the historic center of the city from the 38th floor was spectacular. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony & listening to the ocean while reading or sipping a glass of wine. There is a nice 2-mile promenade to stroll in the late afternoon too. The pool is a nice option also. Across the street is an area where you can rent umbrellas & chairs if you want to sit on the beach. Several nights we took a taxi into the Centro for dinner at one of the many great restaurants there. Taxis are cheap & only take 5 or 10 minutes to the old section. Tom was a consummate host who was always accessible for any questions we had. It was a very pleasant stay.

I had an amazing time in Cartagena! Tom, the condo owner, was really interactive. He told me where to go and all of the must to do to enhance the stay. All of his recommendations panned out and once I got to the destinations, more goodness followed. The room was really clean and the view was spectacular! Tom was an incredible host, and he remotely checked in with us several times before we arrived on the date of check in. The property is beautiful, safe, and truly encompasses the Boca Grande experience. We’d definitely recommend staying here again! More than just a room

I highly recommend Tom's Paradise on 38. It's conveniently located, clean, modern and has excellent amenities. Literally steps away from a number of restaurants, tour bus stops, shopping, ATM - anything you need. Tom makes all the difference though. Tom was accommodating throughout the trip, offering advice and helping out via WhatsApp (and a brief phone call when we arrived). Take his restaurant advice. His connections were also priceless - Alvaro, the driver Tom recommended, is worth every penny he charges and more. This guy took us, stayed with us, weighed in on prices for extras like jet-skis and gets you where you want to be - even though you didn't know you wanted to be there. Example - Alvaro offered to bring us to Playa Blanca - we thought we would be dropped off at the entrance. But no - he knew a guy at a hotel and got us a boat ride over to a more private beach with beach front service, excellent food - the works. These guys carried my (aging) mom in and out of the water to help her get on the boat - they are that accommodating. So, stay with Tom, take his advice, use his contacts - and enjoy Cartagena. I don't know Tom - this is strictly based off of a one week stay at Paradiseon38.

To start this was the best host related stay I have ever had! Tom is a gem in a city known for their gems. His help and knowledge was invaluable. He provided an insiders guild to whatever we needed. He also recommended an amazing gentlemen Alvaro who in addition to being available as a driver was super helpful getting us to a local Fotbol match. Negotiating tickets and seats, trust, this was not for the faint of heart, without him we would have been lost. Tom's images show the apartment exactly how it is, but being their is much more spectacular. I don't think you will find a better place at any price. Paradise 38 was a recommendation from friends who stayed in January, and boy did they do us a favor by passing their experience and information along to us. We will only stay here on our next visit. Do yourself a favor and stop looking at other rentals, this is the only place to stay in Cartagena! Monique M.

Great property with an outstanding landlord/host!

If you're going to be in Cartagena for a long weekend or a month, Tom is your man. This property, one of five I believe he has in the area, is perfect for a couple or a small family (little ones, not teens). The high elevation provides lovely views of the Old City (as the pictures reveal) and the building itself is well appointed and maintained. But the real feature is Tom himself. He took excellent care of us starting with a wonderful driver, Alvaro, picking us up to Daisy cleaning the apartment diligently to providing us info about a maintenance issue with the pool (resolved quickly) and tons of great recommendations for activities and restaurants in town. My wife and I make a habit of renting from VRBO everywhere we go, Hawaii, Costa Rica, Bonaire, Saint Croix, around the US and so on. But we have never encountered as thoughtful and conscientious a landlord as Tom. The price of entry for us is an excellent property with top shelf reviews. This property meets that perfectly. However, Tom exceeds expectations in every regard. Rent from him. You will not be disappointed.
