The Mill House is a Detached Period Character Cottage, spacious , comfortably furnished with own private secluded garden to enjoy the stunning Highland scenery whilst listening to the Burn, which is a Scottish term for a brook that flows into the river Tay at Farleyer.
Within a mile of historical Menzies Castle and 3 miles from the Dewar distillery famous for it's Aberfeldy malt whisky.
Perfect destination for couples, friends and family, great for walking and Highland Safaris.
The Mill House is one of two cottages in The Mill of Camserney available for holiday retreats. Camserney Mill Cottages, a small holding with rare breed Soay sheep comprises The Mill House - detached granite cottage with two double bedrooms ( plus single convertible in one room) and private garden) and Burnside Cottage -traditional granite Semi-detached cottage attached to the owners home - The Steading (see separate listing #6510949)
Both Holiday cottages are set in c 6 acres of rural Scotland with their own Burn running alongside.
COVID-19 has necessitated a few changes. We do not always keep a day or more free between lets, but we do provide pillows and duvets which have been quarantined for at least 72 hours between guests and we do utilise an UV Sterilisation lamp between guests. We use a laundry cleanser for laundering all laundry. We cannot quarantine the mattresses , but we change the mattress protector between visits. We follow UK and Scotland government guidance as appropriate.

Why they chose this property
The Mill House is quirky, spacious, comfortable and rural - idyllic tranquil setting - yet only three miles from the nearest small but lively town of Aberfeldy.
It is ideally placed for exploration, but when you want a 'day off' from touring , you can relax in beautiful surroundings.

What makes this property unique
The sound of our own Burn (and a spot of trout fishing on our door step).
Easy travelling distance to several famous fishing beats on the Tay and the Tummel. Stalking on Rannoch moor. Ski-ing and Snowboarding at Glenshee.
Something for everyone to enjoy amidst stunning Highland scenery.
The Cottage is set within our smallholding . We started with 6 Soay ewes and 2 rams, a rare Hebridean breed - very inquisitive - they will come right up to you (especially if you have sheep nuts to feed them!). We had lambing (singles, twins and even triplets) for two seasons and achieved a flock of 20 plus three breeding rams. Unfortunately we had re-home them in March 2021 to the Cairngorm National Park. They can still be seen by visiting @ wildfarming.co.uk. The same people also have the reindeer farm.
Keith had a stroke in the summer of 2020 and I could not continue to care for them singlehanded - but they are missed. We do have managed to keep on the free range hens who provide wonderful fresh eggs which you will be able to sample during your stay. Subject to availability additional supplies can be purchased!
