On the river. We saw deer, foxes, skunks, bald eagles, chinook salmon, steelhead, and these interesting ducks. I would definitely stay there again. Lovely and comfortable rental.
Very nice place with beautiful river frontage. The property manager was very helpful with any minor questions that we had. I will come back if I have a chance.
river front cabin with plenty of room for five with nice wood burning stove, quiet and remote. nice deck with cover and bbq. note that pics posted of fish are not from this location but within an hour drive
I highly recommend staying here. The condition of the cabin indicates how the owner takes great pride in sharing their home. Peace, solitude and zen by the river await you.
This is a classic family cabin over the river and through the woods. It is perfectly kept and super clean, with a casual family style that makes you feel right at home. The beds had cozy flannel sheets and the bathroom had quality fluffy bright white cotton towels. We enjoyed our morning coffee by the cozy wood stove and an amazing view right out to the great Trinity river. We rented this in the cold weather months and hope to enjoy it again sometime in the summer. The host was quick to respond to our questions and directions were easy and clear.
The cabin was intimate & neat every household item you needed was available. If your interested in your own piece of the River this is a million dollar location.
We enjoyed every part of our stay. The house had everything we needed, including games and books. We loved walking down the porch to the river and having direct river access. The owners were available for all communication needs
The property was comfortable and amenable. The drive to the property is not for the faint of heart. If you are looking for a secluded location then this is your destination. However, if you’re looking for somewhere where you can hop down to a restaurant or bar, it’s a far drive. Limited access to technology helped us reconnect with nature.

I'm glad you had a good time, the nature is so beautiful. Saw a bald eagle yesterday! It is just 15 minutes to town and there is everything people need there, some restaurants and the Big Foot museum!
Lovely setting right on the river with a little beach and shallow still water area for cooling off. The cabin is well stocked with all the kitchen cleaning and laundry supplies we needed. The beds were comfy and warm. Stairs to the loft where the master bedroon is might be challenging for older ir mobility challenged folks but the futon in the living room was just as comfortable as any of the beds! Highly recommended to unplug and relax! No internet wifi or cable but the huge windows facing the river are better than any screen.
The main room is modern and inviting. The entire front wall is windows. That makes it seem larger than it is. The cabin is the prefect size for 2. The spiral stairs might be an issue for seniors or those with vertigo. My wife climbed them once and decided to sleep in the twin beds downstairs. It is in a beautiful spot on the banks of the lower end of the trinity river. I'd fished up and down the upper trinity before and never caught anything. From this cabin I walked out the back door and had a nice trout take my fly in the first hour.
My wife and I stayed at this property for 27th year anniversary. We just wanted to be with each other in a secluded setting. This did the trick! We had a great time relaxing at this cabin. The ONLY issue we had was there is no Hot Tub as listed. This was one of the main reasons we booked here, it said it had a hot tub. But much to our dismay when we arrived, no hot tub. If we would have known this we would have picked another cabin. Nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves and we liked the cabin very much. Knowing what we know now, we would still book here again, we just won’t bring our swimsuits. 😉

Oh! I see what happened! Sorry! The VRBO listing which we wrote, does not list hot tub, but the Expedia does! When they bought VRBO they created the listings, AI probably! We will fix it.
Overall we enjoyed our stay since the goal was to completely unplug and relax. The location can't be beat with a view of the river, and a beach right in front of the cabin. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck and taking hikes in the area. The cabin was clean and we had no issues communicating with the owner. The downsides were - 1. driving on the long and narrow road with blind curves and steep drop offs to get to the cabin. 2. outdated furnishings, there are two older futons (and no couch) in the living room and the carpet really could use replacing. 3. the only heat source is from a wood stove, plenty of wood was provided and there were fire starters, but it took time to warm the cabin up. Other than those issues, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the place.

Hi Heather, We got a new carpet! Hope you can come again sometime.
Great spot to get away from everything and be on the river. Cabin is thoughtfully stocked, especially the kitchen. Gas BBQ grill on the deck worked great.
We were there during a little heat wave and we spent most of our time in the river, which was perfect because it's so close to the cabin.
The host provided a bunch of fans inside the cabin so there was plenty of airflow at night to sleep. The cabin also is well insulated so closing the windows in the morning kept the cabin cool until early evening.
We fished early morning and there are some good easy spots to cast from shore or cast from the river.
The neighborhood locals are friendly and will come down to chat with you, but otherwise it's super quiet and secluded. Road in and out is a bit adventurous (two-way traffic on one way road) but luckily it's not busy at all. We dropped into Willow Creek and there were some decent restaurants.
Be prepared for no internet, which was actually welcomed as it made it feel more like camping (though there is some limited reception down at the river).
Overall it was an easy 5 star experience
The 3 days we (two of us) booked in April were unusually cold and we didn't realize that heating was done by a wood stove, but the stove worked great and there was plenty of firewood and kindling, although some of the wood was marked "green, don't use" but perhaps that sign was from last season. We only stayed two nights and used up all the seasoned firewood. There are also 3 electric heaters along the wall but they don't do a great job but they did take off some of the chill. The road to the cabin was skinny and long but paved and not that bad, although it discouraged us from going to town or from doing trips (we are in our late 70s). This cabin seems better suited for younger folks. The loft bedroom has the queen bed but no bath upstairs, and we were leery about walking down the winding staircase in the night, so we used the bedroom on the main floor which only had twin beds. This was very crowded when we slept together. There is no sheet pan for heating pizza. We could not figure out how to connect the propane to the grill so we used the frying pan instead. The land line only works for local calls but the owner had a long distance line and so we could not contact her easily. The cell phone worked a little for texts. There are lots of birds to see, and listen to, so that was great. No dishwasher. Good oven and refrigerator.

Thank you for the review and leaving the cabin so tidy. Sorry you hit a cold spell, it has been unusually cold this winter, so we have stocked plenty of wood for next winter. The phone does dial out for long distance, but at guests’ expense. I appreciate your comments and will check into those issues. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay.
The cabin and area was beautiful! The only thing that would’ve better is WiFi (with a 10 yr old) and Air Conditioning. The nights cooled off so sleeping was comfortable. It was all worth it to stay here!!!
Great location to the river. Have to go up and down a winding, tight road to get to the house, just FYI. House is comfortable and clean, wifi is very spotty. The town is small but has what you need. Great pizza place, well stocked grocery store, no one but us were at the river!
Beautiful location right by the river. Can be a bit warm without air conditioning in mid summer. Enjoy the peace off the grid!Great host!

I'm glad you had a good time at our cabin! The amazing thing about the Trinity River Valley is the afternoon wind and drop in temp by 30 degrees as the wind picks up the cool air of the coast and blows it in miles!
This is a listing than undersells and overdelivers. The location is beautiful, directly on the Campora Riffle on the Trinity River. As a base location for fishing the lower Trinity and Klamath rivers, it is excellent. The cabin is very clean, well stocked, and one of the most relaxing spots I have ever been. Deborah’s communication was great. Can’t wait for my next trip!
