The house of the Moors is located in a strategic position, a stone's throw from the new metro station "named Metro" and 5 minutes walk from Piazza Europa. The central location will allow you to reach the famous beach of the old fishing village of San Giovanni Li Cuti in just a few minutes through a characteristic ancient road used by carters. This enchanting coastline is famous for its volcanic sand, the characteristic rocky and sandy beach and for the delicious fish restaurants that are located close to the beach.

Lovely place in Catania

We enjoyed our stay in The Mori’s House. It’s a quiet and privat appartment near the local beach where some nice restaurants can be found. The city is very busy and it’s difficult to find some space to park your car, but nevertheless it was a lovely holiday!

The Mori’s House — modern comforts in a hidden side street

This is an elegantly appointed and comfortable apartment, near the water and within easy reach of all amenities. We enjoyed morning coffee and evening drinks on the rooftop patio. Laura gave us all the information we needed for a successful stay and was easy to contact.

Clean and comfortable

We loved our stay in Catania. Laura is a wonderful host and even helped us with our misunderstanding of the garbage and recycling. The place was very clean and the terrace on the rooftop was so nice to sit at and decompress from a busy day of tourism. Laura is great! We would definitely stay here again!

The Mori House is nicely remodeled, and very clean! It is a five minute walk to Catania Picanello train station, and three minute walk to a small grocery store and Tris Bar, which offers all snacks/meals. It is a forty minute walk into the historic center of Catania. The neighborhood is old and a bit run down, but safe. The property manager is excellent, providing quick and helpful responses to all communications.

Super Sicilian experience on the edge of Catania

The hosts, Laura & Andrea were very accomodating, welcoming & helpful. We had a great stay, and better than expected with easy walking access to the sea (Miami beach lounge), local shops, cafés (Trisbar 1966 & Magri highly recommended), & woodfired take-away Pizzaria 100 yards away on Via Messina. It's a short 15 minute taxi ride to Catania City. If you like a traditional rustic fish restaurant try Nitto in Ognina (10mins Taxi) very popular with the locals (don't be put off by the plastic cups, plates & cutlery)

Great place in Catania.

Since this was our first time in Sicily we wanted to focus on a region, rather than cover the entire island. We were able to travel to Etna, Taormina, and Siracusa easily from this location. The apartment was comfortable for 4 adults. One word of caution. If you’re not comfortable with climbing stairs this place may not be for you. The property description, and host attentiveness were spot on.

My best friend and I stayed at Mori’s House for a week in Sicily, and it truly felt like a private oasis in Catania. Perfectly located near the beach, restaurants, and shops, the property blends modern amenities with the historic charm of the building. The air conditioning was excellent during the August heat, and the three-story unit was spotless and unique, with two large bedrooms and views of the ocean and a nearby church.I loved the upstairs bathroom with its volcanic rock shower and chose that room, though the downstairs suite—with its 15-foot ceilings and chandelier—was stunning. Each morning we enjoyed coffee on the rooftop patio overlooking Mount Etna, complete with a grill and plants for a relaxing setting.Laura is an incredible host who provided the most professional check-in I’ve had in over 10 years of rentals. She sent a detailed video, gave excellent recommendations, and responded quickly whenever we reached out.The location is ideal: just a 5-minute walk from a lido Laura recommended, close to other beaches, with a grocery store a block away and antique shops and cafés even closer. By the end of our stay, we truly felt like locals and were sad to leave. I would recommend Mori’s House and Laura without hesitation—she made our Italian dreams a reality, and we can’t wait to return!

We loved the kitchen that came with all we needed to cook any meal we didn't eat out. Laura has a moka pot and a Lavazza coffee machine
