About this property
MEWS COTTAGE, family friendly, with a garden in Whitby
** NEW** Lovely period property in the heart of Whitby, with private parking for one car, superbly located close to the charming Pannett Park and near restaurants, shops, bars and cafés, with the beach and harbour a short walk.
Park your car immediately in front of charming period property, that has retained many original features, entering via the hallway into a delightful sitting room with views over the town towards the harbour; the room is spacious and has comfortable sofas, a Flat screen TV/DVD and a small library of books to enjoy whilst you are on holiday. There is a lovely dining area, a great spot to enjoy meals together, that comfortable sits five people.
Leading off of this area are double doors to a large kitchen, fitted with stylish contemporary units, and including electric oven and hob, integrated fridge, freezer, microwave and a washer/dryer.
This ground floor also has a single bedroom, decorated in shades of yellow, plus a bathroom with a bath and shower over, WC and wash hand basin.
The staircase to the first floor divides to the left and right; to the left is a lovely double bedroom with views over to the harbour. Decorated in off-white with accents of pale greens and with its blind, wooden floors and fern-patterned fabrics, it has a colonial feel to it. The bedroom has a comfortable king size bed, bedside tables - with lamps if you like to read before lights out! - a wardrobe and easy chair. There is an en-suite shower room with a shower, WC and hand wash basin.
The staircase leading to the right has a charming twin bedroom in shades of lavender, again with long-reaching views over towards the town and harbour, in shades of lavender with two full size 3' single beds, a wardrobe, easy chair and original fireplace (decorative only).
To the outside is a small area with seating, ideal for that first morning cuppa, afternoon tea or maybe a glass of something chilled before dinner!
Amenities: Electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, TV, DVD,WiFi, selection of books.
Bed linens and towels included.
Private parking for one car outside the property.
Scratch cards for nearby on street parking are available on request.
Small courtyard area with seating.

Town: The ancient fishing port of Whitby lies at the mouth of the River Esk and is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of Yorkshire, with its superb coastline and close proximity to the spectacular North York Moors. Whitby is a charming and atmospheric town of winding streets and hidden alleys, with a picturesque harbour, safe sandy beaches and of course the Abbey, reached by the famous 199 steps.
