Fun hostel style bnb
The host is a great guy, very friendly and accommodating. This bnb reminds me a lot of hostels I have staying in when traveling abroad, keep that in mind and you will have a wonderful experience

Quiet essentials on Volcanoes NP boundary
Quiet private inn with easy access to Volcanoes National Park. The complimentary coffee and papaya were much appreciated. Had a little trouble with Wi-Fi, which was resolved satisfactorily. Hot tub was clean and a good temperature.

Needs a serious clean up
Although I greaty apprecoated the hospitality (the woner helped me significantly with the check in/ settling), this was the dirtiest opriperty I have seen on the island + it has roaches roaming the rental room. Literally. Conventinally Volcano also has very high prices (on everything) because of its proximity to the park -- there is nothing else around said park but rainy Hilo -- but this property charges twice (if not thrice) for what it's worth. I absolutely owuld recommend everyone to rent in Hilo

Perfect for us!
So close to the volcano, arriving at night, the hot tub with lighted decor was enchanting! The only hiccup was one of the cats stole our bathing suit from our lanai, but we found it, so no harm done! My granddaughter wanted to stay forever!

About the host

I love fishing, scuba, snorkeling, ATV's, 4 wheeling etc.

Why they chose this property

I built this house in Mauna Loa Estates after renting many houses here myself. The rain forest is a bird sanctuary for many indigenous species. It's cooler than Kona and Hilo. Very quiet and peaceful.

What makes this property unique

I built this 3300 sf. house in a u shaped design. All rooms face out to the forest with sliding doors to the private lanai and dining table for 2. Mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in room. Kona coffee supplied. 6 person hot tub in the courtyard. Each room has it's own entry off the court yard.
