When you plan your next mountain getaway, make Truckee and this roomy, cabin-style home your destination. With enough space for eight, this home offers guests a comfy home base, as well as easy access to year-round outdoor activities and in-town convenience.

Located in the Tahoe Donner Community, you'll be under four miles from downtown Truckee. Donner Lake is less than three miles away, and golf is less than two miles away. You'll be under 17 miles from beautiful North Lake Tahoe.

The living room, with its high ceilings, large windows, and comfortable furnishings, invites you to sit back and relax while you warm up by the gas fireplace. Make some popcorn and watch a movie on the cable-equipped flatscreen TV, which also has Netflix streaming. And on those evenings when you all can't agree on what to watch, there's another space in the loft, perfect for lounging and featuring another flatscreen TV. The free WiFi will come in handy when you want to check snow conditions and plan activities for your stay.

After you make a hearty meal in the kitchen, which features standard appliances - including a dishwasher, dine together at the table for six. And if you have a full house, use the four addition seats at the adjacent breakfast bar. In the summer, fire up the gas grill when hunger pangs hit, and savor your dinner on the deck, surrounded by tall pines.

This three-bedroom (plus loft), two-bathroom home has ample sleeping options for up to eight guests. There's a queen bed in the primary bedroom, which has an en suite bathroom and a queen in the second bedroom. There's also a twin-over-double bunk and another single twin bed, as well as two sofabeds. This home also has a washer/dryer, allowing you to pack light for your travels.

You won't have to go far for outdoor fun when you stay at this home. Summertime travelers will love being so close to the golf course, and when the urge to take a hike comes over you, all you'll have to do is step outside your door to access the Tahoe Donner trail system. Tennis buffs can hit the shared courts, while water lovers can head to Donner Lake for kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, swimming, and more. And when you just want to have a low-key evening at home, you'll find plenty of games for both kids and adults to keep you occupied.

In the winter, take your pick of nearby top-notch skiing possibilities. Tahoe Donner has its own downhill ski area 3.9 miles away, perfect for kids and beginners. Sugar Bowl is eight miles away, and Northstar is 12 miles away. If you're focused on doing some skiing or boarding at world-renowned Squaw Valley, you'll only have to drive 13 miles. And when you want to unwind and rest up for another fun-filled day of snow play, head to the Trout Creek Recreation Center and lounge in the shared hot tub or sauna, or take a relaxing dip in the pool.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.

Dock details: There is a private dock at the Tahoe Donner Marina. Please bring your guest access cards. A fee applies. Public docks are located along Donner Lake on Donner Pass Road.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
