Located in the historic center of Locorotondo, in the early 1900s the restaurant was used to prepare charcoal. This was obtained from the almonds and small scraps of woodworking that underwent a pre-combustion phase, which was then extinguished in special containers (called fucagne) and sold to the inhabitants of the stoic center to feed their braziers.
Intact for years it was subsequently used for the production of lime sold to whiten the walls of the cummerse in the historic center. It has been transformed into a splendid residence, taking care, in its recovery, to preserve peculiar details of the structure such as the star or barrel vaults, the solid wood fixtures and furnishings, the wrought iron spiral staircase that climbs from the cellar (ancient well and water reserve) to the kitchen.
The property is located in one of the most beautiful, quiet, welcoming and characteristic streets of the historic center.
It can accommodate up to 3 people, it consists of an alcove bedroom, 2 bathrooms and a very spacious kitchenette.
