Our small and comfortable Hotel is on the pacificcoast of Costa Rica in a little village called Playa Junquillal. Christian and his team are allways concerend about the well-being of their guest.

Hopefully you will reminisce your stay at our hotel Hibiscus for avery long time.

Playa Junquillal and its neighborhood offer many possibilities to enjoy nature, to experience adventures or both together!

The hotel is located 100 meters from a natural beach. This 3 kilometers beach you will love it to relaxe and enjoy the nature.

• Surfing either at the beach right by the hotel or at the favored beaches Playa Negra and Playa Avellanas close by.

• Snorkel at the Playa Blanca beach (only 20 minutes on foot), in Callejones or San Juanillo.

• Fishing is in some extent possible directly at the beach or at the mouth of the river. If you like to go for more adventure you may go fishing with a experienced local fisherman and could return with a huge catch.

• Kajak Tours through the Mangroven. Catch the mystik of this place.

• Horse riding along gorgeous beaches or in the back-country. Enjoy amazing views on great horses. This is a great experience for advanced riders as well as for beginners. If you are interessted please check the webpage

Very pleasant stay

Christensen is a excellent host . The only drawback is the plumbing, in that you have to put toilet paper in the trash bucket next to the toilet, instead of flushing it down the toilet , but I have found all the places in this area are same . Also other places around Costa Rica are the same.

Hibiscus

First let me say that we have stayed in many VRBO rentals and you pretty much get what you pay for. Hotel Hibiscus is cheap for a reason. The location is great, close to the beach, store and several places to eat. Highly recommend the Eco Lodge down the road. If you want peace and quiet, this is not the place. We were there New Years Eve and understand the partying that day but here, the managers/owners? have their German friends on the porch most of the day and night every day so it sounds like you're in a loud bar when you're in your room or outside. I talked to them about it and it got a little better for a couple of days but returned to the partying after that. We left after 6 nights of a 10 night stay. We found another rental just up the beach. No refund was offered. We chalked it up as a lost but worth it. I would recommend staying elsewhere. Marc

this was a good choice for us as we liked the international variety of guests. The hosts were great.. just the perfect amount of help and information. Christian was so generous to let us borrow a cooler for our beach trips! We will be back
