Renovated 1900's home in the trendy and centrally located Belmont neighborhood. Our house is situated adjacent to 2 lovely Norway Spruce Trees on a beautiful residential street, and a block away from some of the best restaurants in Charlottesville: Mas Tapas (Spanish), Tavola (Italian), Lampo (Neopolitan Pizzeria), The Local (American), Junction (Modern Mexican), The Local Smokehouse (BBQ), Southern Crescent (Creole Cajun), and La Taza (Coffee, Latin-American, Brunch). Stroll an easy 15 minutes to our Saturday Farmer's Market, Music Pavilion, and the Downtown Mall's unique shopping and eateries. Exactly 2.5 miles from The University of Virginia. Exactly 3.5 miles from Monticello-the home of Thomas Jefferson. Approximately 30 minutes to Shenandoah National Park/Blueridge Parkway. Outdoor opportunities (hiking, biking, fishing, paddling, etc.) abound when enjoying Charlottesville, Albemarle and the surrounding counties' natural beauty. Perhaps after an excursion, the opportunity to visit local wineries, breweries, and distilleries are almost endless.
The house is best suited for a family of 3-4, as it is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house. However, it can accommodate 5-6 as we can provide an inflatable mattress (Aerobed). Typical conveniences include, a well appointed kitchen, wireless internet, apple tv & local channels (no cable), and washer & dryer. The kitchen opens towards the 8 seat dinning table for easy at home base meals or entertaining. An over-sized circa 1895 lions foot cast iron-soaking tub converts to a soaking shower with divine pressure and "endless" hot water. Our front porch has outdoor chairs and a porch swing. Mixed with sun and shade, the bluestone backyard patio has an outdoor table and chairs, and overlooks the lawn and garden. Weber Charcoal Grill is parked nearby.
