About this property

Our holiday home lies in the heart of the beautiful conservation village of Port Charlotte, just seconds from the sea and enjoying beautiful views from the comfortable and spacious upstairs sitting room, downstairs kitchen with newly installed high quality facilities including breakfast bar and dining area, looking over the loch to the lighthouse and Paps of Jura. Recently renovated this property was new for 2020, and offers a cosy and fresh environment from which to explore the island. This property is approved to government COVID industry standards.
Fresh linen and towels, wifi and utilities all included in your price.

A visit to Islay

A delightful cottage in a charming village on Islay, with a swimming beach yards from the door, an excellent hotel across the road, and some of the finest whisky distilleries within easy reach. We particularly enjoyed Kilchoman, Caol Ila, and Ardnahoe.

Fantastic week

As others have said the house is clean, comfortable and well equipped. We really liked Port Charlotte and this house is in a great position with a great view from the sitting room.and the kitchen sink! It is directly opposite the Port Charlotte Hotel, which serves good meals, has live music twice a week and much to his delight, allowed the musical member of our party to use their piano. The weather was very kind to us and it was so easy to go for a quick dip in the sea. All in all we couldn't have been happier.

Susie is from Islay, David from Glasgow and moved back to the island from Aberdeen, where we lived and worked and raised our family.
We love Islay, and in particular Port Charlotte, which provides a lovely setting for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

This house is just steps away from the picturesque harbour and bay, with several small beaches and which is safe for swimming. It is very close to all amenities, including the two hotels, restaurants, museums and shop.

We support our guests through comprehensive information, provide contactless access, and our changeover assistant ensures that cleanliness is her top priority. We are happy to provide advice and guidance as required, and are contactable by email text and phone to help you enjoy a relaxing holiday.

Lighthouse View is in the heart of the village, enjoying lovely views over the sealoch, and just steps away from the very good local hotel, lovely local beaches and pier. The house is spacious and light, and provides generous accommodation for up to six people.

The large flatscreen TV is equipped with a range of on demand options for relaxing at home after a day on the beach or visiting the many distilleries.

A lovely base for visiting the many attractions in Islay.
