Arrive at a private, charming beach cottage with air-conditioned comfort. The fenced property and tropical gardens surround our guests with colorful foliage.
The top living space has an open floorplan with a remodeled kitchen and living area with high ceilings and split system AC. There is indoor dining for 4. and comfortable seating in the living area with 2 sofas and a large TV. Wireless internet and a flat-screen TV's provide entertainment.
Each bedroom has room air-conditioning. The larger bedroom offers a king bed with quality linens, flat-screen TV. The adjacent remodeled bath has a tiled, double shower and glass top, double vanity. The second bedroom has a queen bed with quality linens, and access to the hall bath with claw-footed tub/shower.
The top-level lanai has a full-sized washer/dryer, outdoor dining for 4 and additional cushioned seating..
The lower level is the ultimate space to play and relax. Enjoy the private covered area which has a double hammock, chase lounges, dining for 6, desk with wi-fi access and seating to enjoy a beach read. Steps away you will find the a gas BBQ pavilion. And tucked away in a private corner is a paved space with Adirondack chairs, dining table and chaise lounges.
Beach access is a short walk across the road to Naue Beach. Naue is known for its beauty and off the beaten track location. During summer when the surf is low, you can refresh yourself in the shallow waters of Naue. There are no lifeguards and we recommend you swim only at beaches with lifeguards. The county has expanded the lifeguard hours for your protection. A mile walk or drive west takes you to Tunnels which is lifeguard protected and has fabulous snorkeling. We provide beach some snorkeling gear, coolers, chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards
This cottage is located in "Deep Country" but has the amazing opportunity to walk across the road and a block away to a coffee/bakery shop and oceanfront restaurant/bar. The cottage is located on the corner of the well- traved two lane and a quiet residential cul-de-sac. Tall hibiscus and palm trees muffle beach traffic during the day. There is little traffic at night.
This cottage is on the corner of a residential cul-de-sac and a well-traveled, 2-lane road that runs to a glorious end at Haena State Beach and the base of the Na Pali Coast.
Access to Kee Beach requires a reservation. Reserve the shuttle to Haena State Park( Ke'e Beach) and to hiking along the breathtaking Na Pali Coast. Good home base for exploring the area. Short walk to beaches, had no problem asking the shuttle to pick s up at the nearby resort. Overall a very good stay!
Nice little house very close to beach with lots of outdoor space. It is quite at night as traffic stops. Easy to get to Na Pali coast and great north shore beaches. Host was responsive to any questions and concerns.

The location felt like we were IN the jungle which was a cool experience! Very quiet and peaceful location as well. Very homey overall and comfortable kitchen with a lot of counter space.
Yes the house is nice. Little things that annoyed me were the shower hear in the guest bath has to be held while you shower and there were lots of spider webs in the driveway and on porch but no in the house. The house had good cooking ammenities and and complimentary coffee

Beautiful place, wonderful amenities. Nice to have laundry access given how rainy this part of the island is! Beds were comfortable and the space was clean. Check in was easy and clear. Good signage for WiFi and TV was appreciated. Nice to have beach gear to use while there!It’s a 15 minute drive to Hanalei Bay and there are several one lane bridges and some construction so just be wary of the road conditions.A lovely stay!

Kitchen was stocked, air conditioning and fans cooled down the house quickly, and it was a short drive to Hā’ena state park, Hā’ena beach, and the Hanalei area. Donna was a helpful and responsive host!

Sorry. We have been overwhelmed. ICE rounded up 44 people. Most of them were house cleaners. So we are trying very hard not to overwhelm those that remain
Really nice location in Haena. Short walk to the beach and coffee. About a 20 minute walk to tunnels beach. Quiet neighborhood. The place was very clean, good AC, well stocked kitchen. Lots of private space to hang out. Loved our stay!

We have been coming to Kauai for over 25 years and this was by far the best accommodations. The house was clean, updated and had everything you could need. We stayed for two weeks, and didn’t want to leave. The owner is so accommodating and responsive. She is the best we’ve ever dealt with. Nice and fun house! Location is perfect if you are the type looking to be away from touristy areas yet not too far when you need to shop.We walked to Tunnels beach which is good because there is barely no parking at this amazing beach.There is so much beach chairs, boogie boards, masks and fins, coolers and our favorite, a boogie to carry everything!Thank you so much! The house is exactly as described, and was perfect for our stay. The property is well-maintained, with many thoughtful amenities.Donna is a very helpful and proactive host who makes herself available should guests require assistance.The house is in a remote location, which we were aware of, and was why we chose to stay here. It is walkable to excellent beaches, and a 15-ish minute drive to Hanalei for restaurants and groceries.

We had a wonderful stay at the property on our sixth trip to the island. Having stayed in Poipu, Kapa'a, and Princeville, this was one of our favorite locations and properties. The cottage was as advertised. The outdoor spaces were plentiful, the living/dining room was very comfortable, and the proximity to the beach could was convenient. We would be happy to stay here again.

We have recently added a BBQ pavilion and have added to the outdoor room and quiet corner for sunbathing and relaxing.
Why they chose this property
We live 20 minutes away from property and are available to resolve issues. We purchased this home in 2001 and have worked tirelessly to improve. This is a very special, non commercial area. We want to respect the local residents who enjoy a quiet and peaceful environment with minimum traffic.
What makes this property unique
Walk to beach in an area where beach parking for visitors staying outside the area is very limited. The beach across from rental is Kepuhi Beach. It is a long beach walk to Tunnels but well-worth it . Beyond Tunnels there is Haena Beach Park and the beach at Kee and the Kalalau Trail. New rules for accessing Kee beach and the Kalalau hiking requires a ticket. Information for access is in the Rental Agreement. This home is in a cul-de-sac in a non-commercial area.
