Sartzaleta is not designed as a typical Rural House. Both distribution and decoration are designed to provide rest, tranquility and relaxation to the client. The common areas and rooms, each with its own private bathroom, are widely separated from the common areas to facilitate user privacy and well-being.
Inside the unique house you can appreciate the care and affection given by the designer artist and the owners to ensure the quality and distinction environment that is intended to appreciate and enjoy the client.
The house is nestled in the southern foothills of the Lokiz mountain range, a place of special beauty and picturesque for its surroundings.
In its proximity you can find natural parks, mountains, rivers and medieval art of incredible beauty.
The building is an old stone house of the nineteenth century located in the highest part of the town, and that was in very poor condition, as well as its surroundings.
Under the artistic direction of the sculptor Guillermo Olmo, a good friend of the owner family, the building was restored.
The stone structure has been faithfully preserved and original beams have been used to build the entrance gate and stairs.
The pillars, beams and solivos of the ground floor, as well as the large trusses, murals, etc., all of oak several times centenary, have been handmade by the artist himself.
Preserving the primitive structure, the old wood has been combined with elements that provide a great luminosity to the building, achieving a beautiful contrast that enhances the extensive collection of works of art that decorates the interior.
