*GOLFERS - PRIME WATERFRONT CABIN, SANDY BEACH - CHRISTINA LAKE, BC!
"Ambleside At The Lake" - A prime waterfront location on Christina Lake, this 4 bedroom cabin & separate guest cottage combo, has 40' of grass to a large sandy beach with private dock!
Recently renovated, the cabin is approximately 1300 sq/ft, has some modern upgrades, scenic photos of the area, and includes a 300 sq/ft deck that looks out to the lake with a glass railing to take in the panoramic views. These views can also be enjoyed from the kitchen, dining and sitting areas while inside.
Ambleside At The Lake offers 3 bedrooms (2 queens, 1 double/single bunk), 1 bathroom, dining room, and sitting room in the main home plus a separate detached guest cabin with queen bed and its own bathroom, perfect for families or friends. 9 people can sleep comfortably.
Partially shaded, the grass area to the lake is well maintained and is approximately 60' wide by 40' deep, with lots of room for outdoor games, bocce, badminton, or even a tent. Enjoy an evening campfire out on the lawn overlooking beautiful Christina Lake! The beach varies in size due to the water levels and on average is 60' wide with 20' of gentle sloping fine sand to crystal clear water. Water averages 22°C in summer. The property borders crown land, so there is an extra 50' buffer of forested privacy on one side.
The driveway has room to park your vehicle/boat trailer, and depending on time of year the dock is available to moor your boat for the duration of your stay!
Other features include TV/DVD, Wireless Internet, A/C, Stereo with iPod Docking, On-site Laundry, and natural gas BBQ on the deck. The deck is gated and great for small/medium sized dogs to hang out on.
All of this plus an easy walk to amenities. The Provincial Park beach, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, playground, bmx bike park, outdoor fitness park, ball diamond, soccer field, community hall, welcome centre, and ice cream shop are all only a few minutes walk away!
The Christina Lake Golf Course is a 3 minute drive and there are miles of trails for walking, biking, and hiking that overlook the lake, rivers and valleys nearby. Some are listed in the Christina Lake Trail Map and be sure to check out our Links page for more maps and trails in the area. You don't want to miss the powerful water of the Kettle River crashing through Cascade Gorge which is a quick 2 minute drive away.
If you would like to enjoy the lake in the winter months, there is skiing at the local Phoenix Mountain just past Grand Forks (about a 35 minute drive) and at Red Mountain in Rossland, BC about a 45 minute drive away. Red Mountain is a top-ranked BC interior ski resort with 360-Degree descents and 7 chair lifts with 110 marked runs.

Stunning views, lots of windows and space to enjoy a meal with friends and family. Gary was an awesome host, super helpful and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend and stay again if in the area!
This lovely gem of a home was the perfect place for my family and I to get away and spend time together swimming, fishing, paddle boarding, canoeing, golfing and walking some breath taking trails. It had all the amenities that we as a family of 8 needed and more. Gary was excellent to talk to, and we are so grateful for him and his family for having this beautiful property available to stay in.

Gary’s property was just as listed . It had everything we needed. Great communication with Gary as questions came up . The view of sunrises and sunsets from the dock was amazing !

The property itself was perfect for what we needed...beds for listed number of people since we were out and about most of the time. More than that, the communication in advance was excellent. Our stay mid-May was during high water level. Gary informed us of some abnormal conditions to expect in advance. There were no surprises and very minor installations to be aware of. I expect the property is a perfect spot to be during most seasons of the year. I wouldn't hesitate to book again!
Great package. Nice beach, updated house, great sun exposure all day. Walking distance to all that Christina Lake has to offer. Property owner was excellent to deal with. Would recommend this place to anyone!
We had a fantastic stay, and as the title says the yard doesn’t get any better. Half grass half sand. The kids from 2 years old to 14 had a amazing time playing on the beach or relaxing on the grass. Having the ice cream shop a close walk didn’t hurt either
Clean, cozy, quiet, great beach, nice deck, open plan with views to the lake. Dirt biked the mountains, cycled the rail trail, canoed the lake——- but a lot more to do, so my wife wants to come back next year. That says it all!

Beautifully decorated house, ideal long flat yard and beach for younger kids.
House is fantastic, nicely arranged and fully equipped, great hosts, beautiful yard and view. We had a fantastic time! Only downside is that this isn't the ideal part of the lake for swimming, there is a good amount of seaweed and the lake floor is real squidgy. But it's close to everything including multiple beaches good for swimming. And you just can't beat sitting out on the dock for morning coffee or evening cocktail. Would love to come back again. Thanks!

About the host
Hosted by Gary
From Langley, BC, we have owned a vacation rental at Christina Lake since 2010. We spent a number of years looking for a special place to create family memories and are happy to help with any information about the Lake and surrounding area. Contact Gary for more information anytime!
Why they chose this property
Our place is on a no exit road at the South end of the lake in a very quiet location. Surrounded by a few cedar trees to give that "cabin in the woods" feel, you are still within a close walk to amenities including the parks, playground, tennis court, walking trails, public beach, etc. We are also tucked in a nice pocket of the lake, which is calm and has views of the community nature park. The nature park is a hoot watching the Loons, Eagles, Otters, Deer and local Beavers all enjoy the lake too! There is a large beaver dam in the distance as well that is quite fascinating.
Christina Lake is the best lake in British Columbia, Canada!
What makes this property unique
"Ambleside At The Lake" is on a very flat lot with lots of parking. It has approximately 100' of untouched crown land beside it giving that extra space between neighboring properties. This extra space makes the property feel like you have 100' or more of beach frontage and also provides some nice greenery, shade and an extra place for the kids to play/explore.
