16. A bright gem on the top floor in the Old Town, with a sunny terrace
This lovely apartment is located in the Old Town of Antibes. The house was built in 1912 and holds three apartments, of which this one is located on the top floor. The light flows in this apartment of 55 sqm, of which 40 sqm has a full standing height. Beautiful rafters characterize the apartment.
The large open kitchen has a dining area for up to eight people. From the kitchen in the west, you have a view of the picturesque pedestrian street, Rue Fourmilliere. The kitchen has a stove (two hotplates), an oven, a fridge, a small freezer, and a washing machine. This kitchen is perfect for cooking lovely dinners.
The living room windows face east and offer a lush view. The room is decorated with two armchairs, a coffee table, and a sofa that easily turns into a bed for 1-2 people (120 cm). There is also a wall-solid shelf with a TV.
The small toilet is under the stairs, leading up to the sleeping loft with an accompanying shower room in an open plan. The bedroom has a bed of 160 cm. There are also air conditioning and access to a seven sqm terrace in the east. You can view the mountains from the terrace and almost see the high masts at the harbour. The terrace has two lounge chairs, a table and a parasol.
If you want to go to one of the nearby beaches, you can walk to Plage Gravette within 10 minutes or Plage Garoupe within 15 minutes. The bus station is three minutes away from the apartment. In the vicinity, there are also a theatre and a cinema showing films with English subtitles on Mondays. The area has many restaurants, cafés, and lovely shops selling home decorations, clothing, food, and delicacy.
Antibes is an all-year-around city close to the airport in Nice, from which you can take local buses for only €1.50. If you like skiing during winter, you can easily take the bus from Nice to Isola 2000 in about 1.5 hours. You can also visit one of the villages and cities along the Riviera, such as Cannes, Villefranche, Ventimiglia, or why not Biot, where we recommend a visit to the Musée Fernand Léger.
The sea invites you to swim until the end of October. There is also a public swimming pool, which is open year-round for both outdoor and indoor swimming. Do not miss the famous Musée Picasso in Château Grimaldi, where Pablo Picasso lived and worked for six months in 1946.

Wonderful street with a couple of the best restaurants in town outside your door. Excellent boulangeries and patisseries right around the corner. Beach not far. Upstairs loft/bedroom with not much headroom.
