About this property

Completed in 1992, this two bedroom two bath home was designed by a local architect for the relaxed Key West tropical lifestyle. Located on a quiet old town street only one block from Upper Duval Street and Truman Avenue, it offers off-street parking, easy walking/biking to Key West’s finest dining, shopping, attractions, and the beach at Fort Taylor State Park.

The one and a half story living space has nine french doors opening onto a private courtyard with a solar-heated pool and spa. High ceilings with multiple skylights, pickled pine wooden walls, casual furniture and the colorful hues of the Caribbean create a space that is both soothing and stimulating. Both bedrooms have tile floors and double french doors opening onto the courtyard and reflect the island's maritime influence with built-in furniture and storage areas. Besides the spectacular indoor shower, there is a small private deck with an outdoor shower for the truly native experience. The site plan is similar to a courtyard home. The bedrooms are in a separate building from the living space. The pool and spa are totally private and you share no space with anyone.

Maximum accommodation is six persons. There is a king size bed in the Master bedroom, a queen size bed in the second bedroom and queen sofa bed in the living area. The living room and bedrooms have smart tvs.

Payments, less credit card costs, are fully refundable with 30 days notice prior to day of scheduled check-in. Payments within 30 days are non-refundable, however, if you cancel your reservation within the 30-day period, you will receive a credit that can be applied to another stay within one year of the original reservation.

Perfect Key West Oasis

Location, location location! WE LOVED our stay! The unique layout was wonderful. It was an easy walk to Hemingway House for our wedding. House was clean, beds were comfortable. House is in good condition and any wear just adds to the charm of a stay in Key West. I was surprised by some folks who complained about their experience with this property. We encountered zero problems and would stay here again. Perfection!

Quick trip for parents

Property was in a perfect location. Very much enjoyed our stay. The property does need some TLC. Blinds broken, bed linen and mattresses need to be updated. We only stayed 3 nights so wasn’t a huge issue. Living area was in good shape. Issues with the hot tub but owner tried his best to help us. Wasn’t an issue either bc we didn’t have much time to spend in the hot tub/pool. Owner and cleaning service was very easy to communicate with! Very prompt !! Would stay there again !

Near Duvall Street, has a beds. All you need.

Place definitely needs work, missing blind slates on doors and windows. My sisters hung up sheets to because the lack of privacy made them nervous. Only used the pool once, directions were confusing. Owner is trying to get me for a broken table nearly a month after we stayed there, when others came in the night we left. And I am sure more besides that! Nice that it has the space for all of us and good location, but a little money in this place would go a long way.

Great location

The cottage is in an ideal location for walking to restaurants and attractions. We loved the pool and spa! The only things I would have liked to be better were the water pressure in the kitchen sink and more comfortable seating in the living room. Overall our stay was a wonderful Key West experience.

Great Location!

We have stayed here a few times before and have always enjoyed it. Our last stay was quite a few years ago, and it was sad to see the effects of aging this time around. The patio chairs in the pictures appear to be the same ones they had the first time we were here and they are in bad shape. One of them is in front of the house because it has broken which doesn't bode well for a first impression when arriving. Quite a few of the deck boards are cracked in the middle. They are still safe to walk on, it was just the appearance. We love this property. It holds so many memories for us. We would not hesitate to stay again.
