A rustic one-bedroom (twin or super king) self-catering cottage built around the 1900, converted around 20 years ago from two outhouses. Some original features still remain, making the cottage a unique property to spend a relaxing break. Cottage is located in the idyllic village of Blair Atholl, Perthshire. It is ideal for 2 people seeking to explore the beautiful surrounding country side. Walking distance to 2 convenience stores, restaurants, takeaway food, hotel, Golf Club, Railway Station, bus stop, Blair Castle, Atholl Highland Museum and working Watermill. Walking and cycle tracks easily accessible from cottage door.

The living-room is equipped with a multi fuel fire, kiln dried wood nets are available @ £8.00 each, through an Honesty Box system. Each room is equipped with modern, efficient radiators. Electricity is included in the price.

A 40" flat screen TV with integrated DVD, a radio and radio/CD player are available for your entertainment. A selection of games, books and DVDs are provided.

The small kitchen is well equipped with all the necessary appliances: oven & hob, dishwasher, fridge with small freezer compartment, washing machine, microwave, iron, ironing board, toaster, coffee maker, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans and a small table with 2 chairs. A welcome tray with a starter supply of basics in tea, coffee and sugar will be left for your convenience.

The white bathroom suite includes a bath and an over bath shower. Towels are provided. There is also an instant heater and a heated towel rail.

The cosy bedroom is equipped with twin beds (convertible to super king bed on request), wardrobe, chest of drawers and a bedside cabinet. A hairdryer is provided. The heater is instant electric.

There is a private, small, courtyard garden which has a table and chairs and drying facilities. Private parking is available at the front of the cottage.

Entry is by a key safe which provides instant entry on arrival.

Super relaxing cottage set amidst beautiful scenery

My wife and I found the cottage extremely comfortable and relaxing. The property is located in a stunning location, in a friendly and tranquil village and close to beautiful scenery and many attractions nearby. The bed was extremely comfortable and the owner was very helpful in providing all the necessary information. Highly recommended.

Comfortable and quiet cottage close to great walks.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we wanted. It was close to local attractions and had lovely walks quite close by. The local Spar around the corner stocked an incredible range of anything needed and a Fishmonger called twice a week with fresh fish. We really enjoyed our stay and were very grateful for the welcome pack left by the owners.

Lovely stay

We enjoyed the stay! Good location for both day drives and train trips to see the area. Communication was good. The location was very convenient for our purposes. The cottage was comfortable (we found the bed lovely), and perfect for the two of us. The check-in process was easy and very clear. We did make use of the laundry machine available and it worked just fine.

Nice property in nice area

Cottage was really nice, in nice area with castle and good walks near by or straight from Blair Atholl. One thing which surprised us were the signs for dog ‘not to pee in the garden’. Our dog felt a bit offended (as property is advertised as suitable for dogs).

A fantastic lovely cottage

We had a splendid time. Stayed for about 10 days and really enjoyed that the cottage provided for all facilities - oven, microwave, cooker, washing machine, kitchen supplies... The little garden was really splendid to sit and relax, watch the birds... A charming and helpful neighbour always there for a wee chat making you feel most welcome! Good location for hiking trips starting nearby but also up in Aviemore or around Braemar. And of course Blair castle - right at your doorsteps. We'll come back for sure!

Cottage for two

Overall this property was very good, but we gave 4 stars for the last question because 1. The poor choice of drinking glasses 2. The table and chair set was to small and uncomfortable If you’re open to ideas? One less arm chair would make space for larger table and chairs maybe Regards Sabrina and Peter

Blick in die Natur

Vom Wetter verwöhnt, haben wir Radausflüge, Wanderungen und Unterhaltung ( Games) genossen. Neben der schönen Landschaft, fällt uns immer die natürlich freundliche Art der Menschen auf. Ihre Hilfsbereitschaft endet nie. Nach 20 Jahren Schottlanderfahrung wünschen wir uns sehr, dass es nicht zu touristisch wird.

Perfekt!

Wir haben uns im gemütlichen und komfortablen Cornerhouse Cottage sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist alles vorhanden, was für einen erholsamen Urlaub erforderlich ist. Es gibt viel Material zu den Attraktionen der näheren und weiteren Umgebung. Wir haben vor allem die Empfehlungen und Karten für Wanderungen genutzt. Der Kontakt zu den Gastgebern war unkompliziert, die Informationen vor der Anreise und im Cottage waren sehr hilfreich. Vielen Dank noch einmal dafür.

Cosy Cottage

Lovely cosy main room with wood burning stove. Instructions for all appliances very clear. Kitchen table light and easily moved to main room. Very comfortable bed. Great location for walking, even from doorstep and lovely restaurant (The Loft) less than a minute away. Someone even put the bin out for us (we had intended to do so on return from The Loft).
