There are superb restaurants within very easy driving distance of the Bay, however, Taxi's are very cheap and reliable. The Capital City Girne (Kyrenia) is only 40 minutes drive along the coastal road with superb views out to sea. Girne has many sea front restaurants where you can chill out before visiting the vast amounts of shops located in the city, it is also a city steeped in history and situated within the walls of the Castle is the superb museum explaining the history of Kyrenia and the recently discovered shipwreck. The Castle itself is interesting but the Shipwreck museum is the best part and worth a visit. The number of well preserved artefacts is remarkable and the actual remains of the ship is awesome. You can never be bored of Girne (Kyrenia) and one visit to the Island is never enough!!
