Secluded large holiday home in one of the most picturesque regions of Europe.

The Old Mill is a fine blend of modern quality finish and rustic homely charm, and with its peaceful rural location, you will instantly feel relaxed and at ease when you arrive - just what you need when you choose peace and quiet over the busy hustle and bustle of coastal resorts.

The property is full of character with its wooden beams and restored remains of the old mill workings. It has a fully-equipped kitchen, dining room with two dining tables, two lounge areas with TVs (one upstairs and one downstairs), swimming pool with sun loungers, rooftop terrace, BBQ, paellera (for cooking a paella) and many patio areas. In addition, there are eight mountain bikes available for hire at a cost of €5 per bike per day..

Nearby you can explore the Los Filabres mountain range, visit the natural spring at Cela or take a tour of mini Hollywood in Europe's only desert. Alternatively, you can simply enjoy walking, running or cycling on the endless routes in the vicinity. The Alhambra Palace at Granada is just over an hour away and the magnificent Lake Negratin where you can do water sports is 45 minutes.

Lleguemos a las 4:30 al sitio donde habíamos quedado, y hasta las 6 y pico de la tarde no nos avisaron para que fueramos a la casa, cuando lleguemos allí vimos que no estaba tan limpia la casa, la piscina está súper sucia arena por dentro etc, la piscina no era lo que nos esperábamos, cambiaría esa piscina y pondria una de suelo ya que tienen terreno de sobra, la zona de parking que pone que hay en la anuncio no es zona para aparcar, muy difícil el acceso a la casa camino de piedras arenas con muchos hoyos. Lo bueno que debo de decir son las habitaciones y que el propietario nos dejó quedarnos otra noche más sin ningún coste, volvería a repetir si estos puntos mejorarsen por lo demás todo bien!.

Un alojamiento magnífico a precio increíble

Cuando llegamos al molino vimos que estaba apartado pero no fue muy difícil encontrarlo. Al verlo en persona nos dimos cuenta de que estaba incluso mejor que en el anuncio. La verdad es que todo súper bien, algunas cosillas negativas pero en general la relación calidad-precio es magnífica. El anfitrión Tim súper majo y atento.

Cuando llegamos, nos sorprendimos positivamente. La casa era más bonita y grande de lo que parecía en las fotos. Los pripietarios, Tim y Bernard son muy simpáticos y atentos. La zona, está bastante apartada. Perfecta para relajarse y no molestar a nadie si haces ruido.

After falling in love with this old water-powered flour mill (molino viejo) near Serón in rural Almería, I bought it in 2003. As someone who is obsessed with health and fitness, it was the realisation of a dream: to create a special retreat dedicated to groups who wanted to focus on health, fitness and wellbeing, in addition to a place where individuals or groups could go for a peaceful holiday. I’d like you to think of the old mill as your own private home for the duration of your stay, and to this end, I have aimed to make the accommodation as comfortable as possible as well as fitting for a retreat where you can relax, enjoy the location and environment, and focus on yourself away from the distractions of everyday life. I sincerely hope your experience will be everlasting or even… life-changing.
