Faro Short Stay

We found this property met all our needs. Location to the train station and to the old town a very easy walk. The unit was spacious, clean and had everthing we needed for our 5 day stay. Air Conditioning was appreciated in the warm weather. Brigida our host was helpful and easy to communicate with. The unit has a view over Faro and is serviced by an elevator. Great when you have suitcases. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend. Sue

Busy Road.Trains so very cheap.

Busy arterial road. After two days managed to find safe route home each day. Airport taxi driver dropped me off same named road in Montenegro area of Faro. Paid cafe owner 10 euro to drop me off at Martas.. Thoroughly enjoyed my week. Flat perfect. The trains allowed me to travel most of the Algarve very cheaply. Thought Fuzeta and its restaurants were beautiful. Two euro return ticket on train. Visited twice. Loved the week will probably come again. David Coggan

Centrally located and a terrific stay!

Sometimes you never know what you’re going to get when you do a rental, but this place really checked every box for me. This was a temporary stay as I am relocating to Portugal, and it was the ideal place for me to get my bearings and explore downtown Faro. This is a very charming flat, well-situated in walking distance between downtown, and a major shopping center (Forum Algarve). It was clean, well-maintained, and the air-conditioning in the living room worked perfectly and was super helpful on hot summer days. Sometimes when you rent a flat, open parking on the street can be a problem, but I never had a problem finding parking here day or night. Marta is a gem. She was kind, flexible with my arrival and departure times and always communicative and polite, and spoke English (and Portuguese ) perfectly. There is a Pastelaria right next door where you can get a beverage or pastel de nada and just chill. Three bus stations are within a 10 minute walk for those without a car. I definitely recommend Marta’s flat!

Host has "unique" perspective on compromises

Host did not leave any manual for important appliances like the old gas stove, and when asked how to operate it, she didn't know (so our cooking ability over three days was compromised) We used an A/C minisplit (again, no manual available) that had a small plastic bottle on the floor collecting condensate. Upon return from our day we discovered the bottle had overflowed. The mop in the closet was insufficient to quickly clean up the water, so we used older towels we found in a drawer (being respectful not to use newer towels we also saw). Five towels were needed to soak up the water, including what was on the indoor-outdoor carpet in the living room. We hung them to dry and explained everything to the host. Instead of thanking us for acting quickly to avoid a worse mess, the host questioned us as to why the towels were dirty! If the carpet and floors had been clean, the towels would not have shown a dirty color. But somehow this was our fault? She then charged us 20 Euros (we did offer to pay for laundering, but for 20 Euros we feel we were advantage of).

Nice condo in convenient location. Day of arrival we were notified leak in ceiling in living room which would require insurance claim so we had bucket in middle of room for our 28 day stay. Bathroom needs deep cleaning to remove soap scum and mold buildup. Bed mattress hard.
