What makes this property unique
In 1729, the British army built the fort to keep control of the Scottish Highlands during the Jacobite uprisings. The fort was later converted to a St Benedictine monastery and later became an Abbey.
The Moat House wing of the Abbey consisted of a coffee lounge and rooms for overnight guests visiting the resident monks.
Staying in the Abbey is a unique and wonderful experience attracting return guests year after year.
Not to mention the world famous Loch Ness. The Abbey is on the shores of this mysterious body of water that stretches all the way to Inverness.
