The property was very clean and nicely maintained. It was just as advertised and met our expectations. The location was peaceful but may be a bit remote for some it was a great locatfor for visiting Perth and Dunkeld.
Donna and Dave are the best! The lodge was great and met all our expectations! We would highly recommend this lodge and on our next trip back to Scotland, will be the first lodge we will try and reserve.
Beautifully kept and well stocked property in lovely rolling countryside with buzzards, deer, bats and the odd roaming sheep!
The lodge is remote enough to be peaceful and relaxing but still in easy driving or cycling reach of all the facilities in Perth and Bankfoot.

Perfection. Idyllic corner of Perthshire.
The whole experience of Moneydie was of exceptional standard. The location is amazing with a private lochan, woods and glorious views to the hills. The lodge is beautifully furnished and equipped and designed for comfort. We felt welcomed and made to feel at home as soon as we arrived - a wonderful break.
Absolutely loved Fern Lodge in both the sunshine and the rain! The place was spotless, well equipped, and comfortable. The steam room was a lovely bonus after a day of hiking. Perfectly situated for day trips to Edinburgh, Loch Lomond and the Cairngorms.
Thanks Donna and Dave for sharing such a magical place with us!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lodge which was very well equipped, very clean and set in the most stunning surroundings. The private woods were a big hit with the children who loved going for late night walks. The only thing we could think of to make the experience even better would perhaps be a hot tub, but other than that we loved it! Would definitely recommend.
This was a beautiful spacious cabin with 3 beds, large reception and all the provisions you could need on a 10 day holiday. 5 mins from the city and 5 mins from the carriageway to head north into the Cairngorms. The Manager was polite and courteous and the accommodation was spotlessly clean. Theres is a shared games room and weights just a 2 mins walk from the cabin with darts and table tennis for the kids.
Perfect place to get away and recharge. Fern lodge offers everything you need for a countryside getaway. Comfy beds and pillows. Spotlessly clean with nice furnishings. Nice views to a large pond with local wildlife to keep you company. The wheelchair access was a bonus giving our son more independence. Thanks to Donna for excellent communication.
Privacy: lovely setting with private walk in the woods out your doorstep. Quiet setting with small pond. Attractive wood interior, a clean home with everything we needed for cooking in and relaxing. Wood burning fireplace with wood supplied. Easy, pleasant communication with caretakers. Long drive in from main road but worth it. Drive to groceries, restaurants. Would love to stay again.

Fantastic lodge and great location
This is a great lodge. We stayed here with the family in October 2017 and I read the other reviews prior to booking. The reviews are very accurate. The lodge is very well furnished and equipped. It’s far enough for peace and quiet and close enough to Perth for Pubs and restaurants. You do need a car.
Sophia was a lovely host and made sure we were comfortable. She also gave great suggestions for days out. We spent a week here and went to Edinburgh (which is an hour away by car), Pitlochry, water rafting and walking. I would recommend highly and would come back again.
Beautiful lodge in a stunning setting.
The lodge was very comfortable, super clean, lovely bedding and towels. There was everything you might need on your holidays, including essentials like dishwasher tablets, laundry liquid etc. Everything is very thought through by the owners. The steam room is a lovely treat at the end of the day.
Great communication with the hosts. Very welcoming and making our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. We were welcomed by fresh flowers and some treats which was a lovely touch.
The location of the lodge is perfect- so peaceful (lots of wildlife) but in the same time allow easy access to Perth, Dunkeld and other locations by car.
We are looking forward to visit Pitlandie lodges again!
Thank you very much Donna and David!

Simply Idyllic!
Where to start? Sophia was an absolute joy to communicate with. Helpful and knowledgeable about where to eat and places to visit and that was even before we arrived!
On arrival we had a tour of the property and shown where everything was. A true home from home, every detail thought of, beautifully appointed and good quality crockery.
Everything was spotlessly clean and fresh, even the liquid soaps in the bathrooms were of high quality.
A lovely touch was the welcome basket, with everything you could want to keep you going when you arrive, tea, coffee, cake, even some chocolates!
The views are simply gorgeous and having so much land to walk through means you don't have to travel far to go for a nice woodland stroll.
Lots to see and do locally and only 6 minutes away from your nearest quality supermarket
.
Probably one of the best holiday lodges we have stayed in. We will definitely be back. Thanks Sophia!

Best holiday ever!
We spent two wonderful weeks at Pitlandie Wood Lodge. The lodge is really exceptional, very well equipped with everything we needed (and much more - even a hand blender is available). We enjoyed the calmness, the stunning view and the private woodlands (the first time every we could do our jogging rounds at "our" land - both the runners and the accompanying dog were more than happy). The steam room was a really nice extra treat – the kids loved it!
Sophia is a splendid host; discrete, but always available when asked for help or advice. Her recommendations covered everything from local shopping and restaurants (try the Indish takeaway when you do not feel like cooking!) to places worth exploring. We followed her guidance and visited St. Andrews, Glencoe and Loch Ness (our absolute favourites), Dunkeld, Aberfeldy, but also did local hikes (try Birnam Hill, a nice (although steep) climb with great views and a first impression of the great, rough Scottish landscape - just a 10 minutes’ drive away). With the exception of Glencoe and Loch Ness, all places were reachable within an hour as were Edinburgh, Dundee and Glasgow - the lodge is nicely located for exploring large parts of Scotland. We will certainly come back to see more of Scotland with Sophia's help (she has so many more recommendations that we will love to check-out - and we still have our first Munro to climb). Thank you very much indeed, Sophia, for two most remarkable weeks and the best holidays ever!
Location spacieuse, extrêmement propre et charmante. Tout le nécessaire était fourni. La vue sur la campagne écossaise était magnifique et nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans cette belle maison
We have really enjoyed our recent stay at Pitlandie. The lodge was lovely, well equipped and very cosy. Dave and Donna were really helpful and attentive, nothing was too much trouble for them.
There is plenty to do, if you are able to drag yourself away from the view from the living room window - Dundee and Edinburgh both nearby, and lovely local shops for great food and gifts.
We highly recommend Pitlandie.
Absolutely first class lodge in a wonderful location.
It was our second stay here, and I could not rate it highly enough.
If you are looking to stay in this area, you absolutely will not find a better place.
