The majority of population has maintained the old crafts of olive oil and wine production. Vodnjan is known for it's highes bell tower n Istria. While Vodnjan (or Dignano) is not located on the sea, you are just 10 minutes away from the beach. Make a day trip to 12 km far Pula or Rovinj (26 km), to visit the numerous cultural and historic landmarks of both cities. Pula on one hand boasts the great Roman legacy, such as the Colloseum, Forum Rromanum and the Arch of the Sergeii; while on the other Rovinj offers more ‟recent” history, with it's St. Euphemia's Basillica, the covenant on the nearby island. Wnjoy the many luxurious or budget friendly restaurants, both of which will offer great fish and amazing views of the port and the old town or simply wander through its core. Other natural beauties, easily accessed from Barbariga is the Brijuni archipelago (Nation park), The Lim channel and Rt Kamenjak (Nature park).
