Completing the interior is a patio area with a hot tub with outdoor furnishings, as well as off-road parking. High Rigg Shepherd's Hideaway is a wonderful base for a romantic getaway with your partner. Sorry not suitable for children.

The town boasts rich and colourful history, dating back to the Roman occupation, Border raiders from Scotland and the Jacobite uprisings. Today, you will find Moot Hall, which was built in 1817, and now houses the Tourist Information Centre and is surrounded by a selection of amenities. Within the surrounding area, you will find Talkin Tarn Country Park, 120 acres of farmland and woodland and the RSPB nature reserve.
