Hi Liz,
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your holiday and we would love to welcome you back anytime :)
We had a lovely 3-generation family holiday at this rural property. Access is down a farm lane (as advertised) and parts of it are quite rough driving, but not a problem if you drive carefully.
The views are amazing from pretty much all the rooms - particularly in the large sun lounge.
Local eating places were fully booked so it is difficult to give a review, but were obviously popular. Booking well in advance seem to be essential.
In summary: we had a great family holiday, and for the price I would say the property was good value.
We love angelsey and this place was fantastic, the home comforts you need plenty of space for us all and the views were amazing! Was great to come in from the wet and cold to have the fire roarinh ti warm up.
We had an exceptional 3-generational stay at Ty Mawr for a week. It’s on a dairy farm so you see the cows walking by twice a day. The lovely big sun room and large main bedroom with balcony had amazing views and the kitchen was very well-equipped. Having two bathrooms was really helpful too.
It’s so close to a quiet beach with my husband taking our 2-year-old grandson down in his pushchair for an early splash. Also within an easy drive of Valley, other beaches, shops at Holyhead and everything Anglesey has to offer. Comfortable beds and plenty of space. Everyone had a lovely break and we highly recommend this house- we’d love to live there full-time!
We stayed for a week as a 3 generational family and had a lovely time. The cottage is comfortable and spacious indoors and outdoors, with a couple of upstairs rooms that are compact but we knew that from the description/photos on the website. It is in a beautiful tranquil scenic location with outstanding views. It is home from home with everything you could need including lots of blanket throws which were a comfort on cooler evenings and the log burner was a delight for cosying down which would benefit from having a secure guard around when holidaying with young children. There is an adequate outdoor seating and garden area for barbecuing, relaxing and playing. Only had 1 blip from a neighbours dog using it as a toilet once as accessible from open driveway which is the dog owners fault for it not being on a lead. Having the 2 bathrooms and a washing machine are practical facilities that are a must for us when self-catering and the 2 storey extension made a big difference which was another selling point for us because of the ample space it provided . Spin dryer did not work for us when we tried to use it and there are a few other items in need of replacing/updating. The cottage is clearly a much loved family home but there are too many personalised belongings for a holiday home I feel. The numerous informative instructions and labels throughout the cottage could be collated together and put in the holiday information pack. Overall the cottage is a great get-away-from-it-all and is in a glorious setting. The owner was very helpful and prompt with all communication.

Hi Karen,
we are so glad to hear that you had a lovely family holiday. We are sorry to hear about the neighbour’s dog, we are currently in the process of installing gates to try and prevent this issue. We greatly appreciate your constructive feedback regarding the facilities at Ty Mawr and we will definitely look into your helpful suggestions. It was a pleasure having you stay at Ty Mawr and please feel free to come back any time :)
Loverly quiet place with everything you would need. Stairs was a bit too steep for elderly parents
Easy to rent find and collect keys

Wonderful views but…
The views from the sun lounge and the main bedroom are spectacular, we enjoyed three wonderful sunsets. The balcony is accessed through the largest bedroom which is not ideal and the other two bedrooms are very small. The upstairs shower room is also very small. There is a larger bathroom downstairs, off the utility room by the back door so not so easy for children in the middle of the night! There are a lot of ornaments in every room which was surprising with COVID regulations and gave the impression of the cottage being cluttered and the cleanliness only average. The cottage was initially not easy to find. The access is through the farm down a very narrow bumpy track which is used at least twice a day by the farmer bringing the cows in for milking. The Asda delivery man also had difficulty finding us but he did in the end! Although we were a little disappointed in the accommodation we did enjoy our stay. It is well situated for exploring the island and is close to the magnificent beach at Church Bay.
We stayed in the cottage in September 2020. It's accessed down a farm track. The large sun room is light & airy with panoramic windows on three sides. Perfect for birdwatching & viewing the sunsets. It's a great base for touring the island. We can't wait to be back once the pandemic is over.
