Summary:
Set on a quiet street within an elegant sandstone building. Our apartment is a beautiful 2 bedroom that brings together traditional and modern, with exceptionally tall ceilings, crisp interiors, perfect lighting and characterful features. Stylish yet comfortable, designed with the utmost attention to detail. Minutes away from Botanic Gardens, Great Western Road, Byres Road and The University of Glasgow. Surrounded by ample restaurants, bars, theatre and shopping.

The Space:
We have recently renovated the entire apartment – bringing it back to the full of life, character and elegance you would expect in the West End.

Located on one of the best streets in the West End, you are stone’s throw away from Botanic Gardens, Great Western Road, Byres Road, etc. Most of all, you are at the center of culinary gems. This area is packed with some of the best restaurants in the city.

The property is set to a spacious open plan setting with exceptionally high ceilings and lots of natural light. A very comfortable sofa for those who would like a quite night in to enjoy the smart TV that comes with Netflix. Fully fitted modern kitchen with a 6 people dining table. High-speed WIFI throughout the property. Nespresso Coffee Machine and French Press. Vintage Bluetooth Speaker. Kitchen fully equipped with Swedish home appliances (Cooker, Washer/Dryer, Dishwasher, Fridge/Freezer), Microwave, Toaster. The property has a powerful central heating system that warms all the rooms up very quickly.

Bedroom 1: Airy and calming Light grey interior with a Kingsize bed. There is a Blue Chest of Drawers for storage (the hairdryer is here)

Bedroom 2: A Soothing Navy bedroom that also comes with a Kingsize bed, a desk, and a huge fitted wardrobe.

Bathroom: Sparkly clean with a large bathtub, a decent shower, and ample space to change/move around.

Hallway: Full-length mirror, shoe rack and loads of coat hanging space!

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire property throughout their stay. All check-in details will be sent in advance via our electronic guidebook link.

The Neighborhood:
The apartment is situated in the heart of the West End and is minutes walk to the closest shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. Byres road is a few minutes walk and is a great hub for all things West-end. If you fancy some of Glasgow's best food and drink you are spoiled for choice as the famous Ashton Lane is only 5-10 minutes walk away. Have some top class food at Ubiquitous Chip or sample street-food style ramen at Ramen Dayo then wash it all down with a Guiness at Jinty McGinty's or a craft beer at the Innis and Gun bar. There is even a cinema located within the lane so there is definitely something for everyone.

Be sure to visit the closeby Kelvingrove Park and Botanical Gardens if you are blessed with good weather. Both park areas boast plenty of space for picnics, lovely walking paths and a green escape from the city's hustle and bustle. With views of the River Kelvin and Glasgow University's stunning ancient campus it is also a great spot for those looking to add a few instagram-worthy snaps to their collection too.

Getting Around:
The apartment is very close to two subway stations, Kelvinbridge and Hillhead, approx a 5-minute walk to Hillhead and 10 mins to Kelvinbrige. Numerous buses run on both Byres Road and Great Western Road. Uber is also a very handy way to get around the city with a cab cost less than £10 to the city centre. Glasgow International Airport is about 20 minutes by taxi and cost approximately £25.

Please note, check in is not available on the 25th of December and the 1st of January.

We can arrange rental of a high chair and a travel cot if needed during your stay

Please be advised when selecting 1 or 2 guests we assume you will be using one bedroom. If you wish the second bedroom to be made up, it's not a problem, we just ask you select 3 guests

great location but many items broken or missing
large, bright flat in the leafy West End of Glasgow... but the flat has not been maintained as high standard, it has obviously been rented for short stay over and over and no-one has checked (or even followed up) when an item was missing or broken. I contacted the manager of the property to raise that there were no wine glass, no enough dishes for a meal for 4p, they asked me to check again if there were not in the dishwasher... I thought it was useless to mention that the fan in the bathroom did not work, the wardrobe in one of the room was about to fall down... it is a shame because the place with its high-ceiling got something very special, but it is not looked after as it needs to be for short rentals.

Stay in Glasgow
A delightful property in an absolutely perfect location, near all that you need and then some, and essentially kitty-corner to the University, an added bonus for family visiting students. The flat is on the ground floor and is relatively accessible, excluding the stair to the building. It is very well-lit and spacious, designed to a cozy and aesthetically pleasing standard, with plenty of space for a group of visitors. The kitchen sink is a bit hard to use; it is easy to splash water everywhere and requires frequent drying. In terms of cleanliness, it was a very tidy location to stay; I will say that the communication with the VRBO hosts could have been better and more detailed, and the link to check-in was a bit problematic. But at the same time, they were also extremely accommodating on what was very much short notice, and my family quite appreciated that. Overall, it was a fun stay in a really lovely flat and if we were to stay again, we would definitely look at this property.

A beautiful apartment in a traditional west end of Glasgow building. Great local area for food and drinks, but the street itself was quiet. Good sized bedrooms, comfy beds.
