Beautiful views are worth the journey!

We loved the beautiful views from the Red House. It is an adventurous journey to reach the accommodations and will not suit all travellers. We would suggest packing a small bag each and bringing that from the place you have to park the car. We feel it was worth any inconvenience as the house and views are lovely!

Das Haus selbst ist wunderschön und liegt hoch über Maiori mit wunderbarem Blick. Jedoch ist es mit dem Auto fast nicht erreichbar. Es führt ein extrem steiler Wirtschaftsweg hinauf und es gibt keinen Parkplatz. Runter in den Ort kommt man über steile Treppen, die teilweise ausgewaschen sind. Man geht mindestens 25 Minuten runter und 45 Minuten hoch. Diese Voraussetzungen waren im Objekt nicht beschrieben und wir waren gezwungen vorzeitig abzubrechen.

Spectacular Views

The Villa Rossa is a perfect retreat from the busy Amalfi Coast roads. The views really are breathtaking, but the drive to get there can be challenging for unexperienced drivers. Rent a smaller 4x4 car if you can, that will help facilitate getting to the house. From the main road, it’s a 2km drive up a precarious gravel/ asphalt path. Then once the car is parked, it’s another 300 m walk to the house. We wouldn’t recommend this house if you’re not in good physical shape, or have young children. If you want to walk down to the beach from the house, there is a walking path that will take you there, which is about a 15 minute walk. It’s a mix of steps and pathway and not very difficult. The hot-tub was a welcome relief after a long day of sightseeing. If you do any cooking, keep food in the fridge and clean up, or else you will have small ants come visit the kitchen. The house doesn’t have A/C, but our host did provide us oscillating fans, which helped. Thank you Giuseppe for a memorable, lovely stay!

Everything was great. Just didnt realize that you need a vehicle with 4 wheelndrive to get to it.

The host was amazing as is the house. As a guest if you have a four wheel drive vehicle this is a perfect spot. Quiet beautiful with a perfect view of the coastline and the mountains all around the other sides of.the house. We loved it

Villa superbe avec vue d’exception

Nous avons passé un séjour idyllique dans cette villa. L’accès est long par la route ou sportif à pieds (par un sentier et escalier de Maiori) mais l’arrivée est méritée. La villa est isolée et a une des plus belles vues de la côte. Je recommande vivement !

merci à vous de nous avoir préféré c'est vrai la route n'est pas en excellent état mais la maison rouge mérite un petit sacrifice
