Liersena Sea View Mini Villa is a lovely property in the village of Manarola, Cinque Terre. It is a cute and welcoming mini-villa with AC that will charme you from the first moments you will have the luck to spend here. The entire property went under total restoration in Winter 2020. The property lies in the upper part of Manarola village, just a few steps from the Church of San Lorenzo and its famous square.

Your Rental

Entrance of Liersena Sea View Mini Villa  is from a small pedestrian path that connects the nearby vineyards to the the Church square. The apartment develops on two floors connected by a modern, design winding staircase. On ground floor we enter directly into the romantic double bedroom. The restored traditional double bed and wardrobe come to the owner from past generations.  The window with embroidered curtain will let you enjoy the amazing scenery of Manarola vineyards from sunrise to bedtime! Through the winding staircase we reach the upper floor where we have a modern bathroom with shower and design fixtures. On this floor a tiny dining area with kitchenette corner. Kitchen facilities are essential, ideal for morning breakfast and take away worming up. We have a pods coffee maker, water boiler and microwave oven. The dining room opens on a fantastic balcony with one of the greatest views on Manarola village. You won't be ever leave this place! Air Conditioning and heating throughout the property. Wi-Fi available.

Manarola apartment

Situated in a beautiful town this place is at the top of the hill. Expect to hike up and down but that’s to be expected in this town. Apartment itself or small but nice. The spiral staircase is beautiful but small. This place would not be a good choice for anyone not in shape due to the ladder that is the staircase to go to the bathroom. The balcony is nice and gives you a decent view of manarola between the the other pretty houses.

Review

The advertised great view of the sea was 70% correct. The view directly below was blocked by the roof top of a house and the view to the left was blocked by another house. However the view straight ahead and to the right was unobstructed. The long climb up the hill was much, much more than anticipated and the “bar” to the left of the church was not labeled as advertised The street name was difficult to find and 20 more steps from the steep hill street added to frustration at the end of a long day of travel. The narrow stairway up to the second floor was difficult for someone with arthritis.

Perfect spot above the crowds

This cute place was perfect for the two of us: cozy, clean, updated, great location very close to hiking trails and historic church square & bell tower—and best of all for us, we could leave the crowds that congregate by the water and hang out on our balcony, or enjoy the less crowded cafes, shops, and the amazing view from the church square a little further up in the town where this place is. We loved having breakfast and a couple of dinners (pulled together from the local market) on our balcony overlooking the town, and encountering locals in the church square, where one morning there was a pop-up produce stand where we bought fresh strawberries, bread, and almonds. Even in October, the AC was much appreciated after a hike. We also greatly appreciated the first morning’s breakfast (and olive oil) that were provided. Granted, you will not have a ton of hot water for showers, you may see an ant or two, the church bells might wake you in the morning, and you will need to climb a spiral staircase to use the bathroom (and the packet you get from the hosts is very clear about these kinds of things). But you are in Italy! These things don’t matter! Do take them into consideration if you are a picky traveler who expects all the comforts of your own home, but if you like to travel and experience the way of life of the country and the town you are visiting, you will absolutely enjoy this stay. Five stars from us!
