Northern Lights is a former croft cottage in an outstanding location just off the North Coast 500. When you arrive, you will appreciate the ample private parking and electric vehicle charger. The attention to detail continues as you settle in for your stay, with everything from the lighting to the comprehensively equipped kitchen there to give you the best possible accommodation.
Because we always try to exceed your expectations, you will love how fast the Wi-Fi is. Character, comfort, and connected when you need it.
This character cottage is in a tranquil setting. The cosy downstairs living rooms and fully equipped kitchen are on the ground floor. Upstairs is the main bathroom, with bath and shower, together with the two bedrooms.
The cottage has a large private gated parking area at the rear, complete with a 7kW electric vehicle charger that you can use as much as you need to during your stay, at no additional cost. This provides a convenient place for several vehicles at a time and its stone surface means you won’t have to worry about mud in wet weather. At night, motion lighting will activate in the parking area when you arrive and light the way through the rear garden to the cottage.
The front garden path takes you to the road where you can walk to the beach or perhaps have an evening meal at the nearby restaurant.

The property was extremely well equipped and a basket of treats, fresh coffee and cleaning equipment were provided. Excellent position and stunning views from front windows. The top of the stairs is very near to the bedroom door so care required when coming out of bedroom. Highly recommend.
The Northern Lights cottage is perfectly located for exploring Scotland's central north coast. The cottage looks out over Talmine Bay, the Rabbit Islands, and the North Sea beyond. Skinnet Beach is just down the hill, a short walk away. The house is lovely with a large, well-equipped modern kitchen and two newly renovated baths, both with good showers. I would definitely stay here again.
We have just spent two days in this fabulous cottage to explore the NC500 without the stress of bringing our motorhomes up this far. (The A roads can be a bit challenging up here as some parts are single track) The cottage was spotlessly clean, spacious and cosy and also dog friendly. There were 4 adults and 2 dogs in our party. It had everything you could want or need. It is situated overlooking the coast near Tongue. It’s a mere 15 minute walk to Skinnet Beach ( very quiet and unspoilt and we saw seals) and the Craggen Hotel is a 5 minute walk serving hot meals. We cannot recommend this cottage enough. We will be sure to return. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay.

Fantastically clean and spacious dog-friendly property. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property to others. The nearby beach is beautiful and the house is close to a local shop, which was handy.
