Tre Allt is a quaint and cosy traditional beamed cottage with a beautiful spacious garden and nestling in the hamlet of Penmaenpool, close to Dolgellau. The popular resort of Barmouth is just a short drive away. Set on the edge of The Snowdonia National Park, Penmaenpool is ideally situated for whatever type of holiday you want. This is a walker paradise with the Mawddach Trail opposite (as featured in Julia Bradbury's Great Railway Walks)

Tre Allt a quaint and cosy traditional beamed cottage with a beautiful spacious garden. The excellent George III (pub and eatery) with a waterside location is just across the road!

Pet FREE and non smoking, so great for people with allergies. With FREE WIFI to keep you connected. The cottage has a sunny north west facing garden to soak up the rays and enjoy the stunning sunsets, the stunning Mawddach Estuary is right opposite the cottage and the Cader Idris Mountain area is just behind the cottage. This delightful stone cottage has recently been recently refurbished and tastefully decorated in a shabby chic style, whilst retaining all its character features along with the comforts of modern living.

For those with families, miles of sweeping sandy beaches can be found all along the coast. If you're into cycling or horse riding, there are numerous scenic places to ride. This is a walker paradise with the Mawddach Trail opposite, (as featured in Julia Bradbury's Great Railway Walks) Coed Y Brenin and Cader Idris just a short drive away! If you're not the active type, there is lots to do in Barmouth with its independent shops, pubs and eateries or how about a ride along the coast on the scenic Cambrian Coast Railway?

Come and explore this amazing area. Mid Wales is truly stunning and a 'well kept secret' by discerning globe trotters. Come prepared for all conditions, it does rain sometimes!

Tre Allt has a really well equipped kitchen with all modern appliances. The cosy lounge with fabulous views, sits 5 and benefits from a wood burner set in a beamed fireplace, making a great focal point and perfect for gathering around on cold winter night. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one double and one three quarter size double bed, both with memory foam mattresses. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and is next to the bedrooms. The cottage has a lovely sunny private garden on different levels that enjoy stunning views to the front and rear, with various patio furniture, for 'alfresco living'. As well as the wood burner in the living room there is modern electric heating throughout and double glazing.

DOWNSTAIRS

Kitchen/conservatory area:

The fully fitted 'shaker style' kitchen with tiled floor has a lovely view of the garden from the kitchen window and the hills just behind. There is an electric hob, electric oven/grill, microwave, fridge with freezer box, plus all the necessary cooking utensils. There is a useful breakfast bar dividing the kitchen from the living area. Off the kitchen is a conservatory with a washing machine and sink, plus a sitting area to enjoy the views of the garden.

Lounge/dining area:

With a stunning view over the garden and towards the Estuary. In addition to the beamed ceiling, the wood-burner is the central feature in this room, so plenty of warmth on those chilly evenings. There is are 2 X 2 seater settees and 2 coffee tables. For entertainment, there is a 24" flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD/CD and a selection of DVDs and books. With FREE WIFI to keep you connected.

UPSTAIRS

Double bedroom:
This room has a double bed, chest of draws, bedside tables and wardrobe. There is a lovely original fireplace making a focal point in this room and original pine floor. From the window you have the same stunning view as the lounge to enjoy.

Bedroom 2:
This room has a three-quarter size bed, chest of draws, built in wardrobe and a lovely view of the garden and hills behind.

Bathroom.
The bathroom has fully tiled walls and a cushion floor, WC, wash basin, bath with an electric shower over the bath and a heated towel rail.

All the beds have two pillows and quilts, all bed linen is provided. Bath and hand towels are also provided for each person staying in the cottage. Beach towel are NOT provided so please bring your own.

The cottage is located in a quiet location off the main road, which is rarely busy. There is a parking space just across the road.

Outside:

Whatever you are into: fishing, surfing, kite boarding, sailing, mountain biking, bird watching, painting, landscape photography or horse riding, there are endless scenic places to explore.
This region of Wales is without doubt a hidden gem with some of the most spectacular scenery in Britain. This is a walkers paradise with Cader Idris just a 15 minutes drive away! Snowdon is only 60 minutes by car.
Don't worry if you're not the active type, the flat effortless Mawddach Trail, featured in Julia Bradbury Great Railway Walks program, is accessible to everyone and takes you on a journey along one of the UK's most spectacular estuaries, brimming with wildlife.
There are miles of beautiful unspoilt sandy beaches, as well as many local attractions, such as the Talyllyn Narrow Gauge Railway, which steams from Tywyn up to the mystical Dolgoch Falls. Just a few miles away is the stunning Talyllyn Lake. 15 minutes away towards Corris, is the world renowned Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) which is a fascinating place to visit and learn. Close to CAT is The Corris Craft Centre and King Arthurs Labyrinth, another must visit place. Don't miss Harlech Caste just a few miles up the coast and the amazing prehistoric standing burial stones at Dyffryn Ardudwy.

Short breaks when available: Monday-Friday 4 nights and Friday-Monday 3 nights. There is a minimum charge of £299 for any stay.

Prices inclusive of energy, wifi, bedding and towels. Please bring your own beach towels. Cleaning fee of £49 applied to each booking.
