Escape to the stunning countryside and experience the best of both worlds with Cow Byre 1 or Cow Byre 2, each one a spacious and beautifully designed cottage located just a mile outside the Saxon town of Bradford on Avon. Our semi-rural location offers the perfect base for exploring the heritage city of Bath and nearby attractions such as Longleat Safari Park, Lacock, Stonehenge, Avebury, and Salisbury.
Cow Byre 1 or 2 are perfect for families and friends, each offering two bedrooms (one on the ground floor) that can sleep up to 5 guests and a ground-floor bathroom with a shower over a bath. Each cottage is cow-themed, featuring stylish cow print wallpaper and prints that add to the cottage's unique charm. The galleried ceiling with wooden beams, varnished floors, and log burner provides a warm and inviting atmosphere to relax and unwind.
Enjoy long views over arable fields from the rear of the cottage, and make use of the courtyard with outdoor furniture and a charcoal BBQ for al fresco dining. Cow Byre 1 or 2 are both dog-friendly, although charges and terms and conditions apply. For families with children, we have a games room with table tennis, table football, and a pool table, as well as a games field and children's slide and swings.

Beeches Farmhouse Country Cottages & Rooms in Bradford on Avon, has two types of accommodation.

There are three, two bedroomed log fired self catering cottages each sleeping up to 5 in two bedrooms. Cow Byre 1 & 2 can be interlinked to sleep up to 10 with additional guests accommodated in the ensuite rooms infront of the cottages. As well as weekly stays from Monday or Friday we offer short breaks from Monday to Friday and Friday to Sunday or Monday.

Also we have five ensuite rooms with all except one in converted farm buildings, each having their own front door key and patio area, giving you the independence to come and go as you please. We have a family or triple room, double rooms and double or twin rooms.

Perfect place for a family getaway

Set in a lovely small holding located near to Bradford on Avon and surrounded by cornfields. We stayed in Cow Byre 1, which were beautifully decorated, spacious with a small outside courtyard and BBQ. Nigel and Pauline were so friendly and welcoming it really felt like a home from home. We can’t wait to return again soon.

Restful break in a tastefully decorated self-catering cottage in excellent location within easy reach of Bath,Longleat and Stonehenge. Helpful and friendly service despite me getting confused over check-in time and turning up too early. Kids loved the games room and outdoor play space. Would stay again and recommend to others.

Wanted a short break with 10year old pet friendly. Arrived early this was no trouble and was accommodated immediately and met by pauline whom was lovely. Not far from Bath which is lovely. Lots to do leisure centre in town 20mins walk for swimming others in nearby towns. Trowbridge great for eateries cinemas etc.

Excellent property

Beautiful setting, lovely added extras flowers, cream tea, and eggs. Which was lovely. We loved the cottages, very clean and comfortable, I didn’t take my dog in the end as she is only 5 months old puppy. But very dog friendly. Lots walks. Bradford on Avon was beautiful little town, with river and the canal and within walking distance.

I, Nigel, have managed resorts and hotels in many incredible places, including Jordan, Bahrain, Bermuda, Antigua and Kenya. While working at The James's Club in Antigua for Peter de Savary, I met Pauline an accomplished florist. Our children were raised in these countries where they enjoyed an idyllic, slightly feral, upbringing. On our return to the UK, we fell in love with Bradford on Avon - it's a stunning part of West Wiltshire with charming villages, a strong community and a unique atmosphere.

Choose from three 2-bedroom self-catering cottages or five en suite rooms in specially converted farm buildings. Inside, you'll discover cosy accommodation and home comforts.

The grounds are dog-friendly with access to open fields. We're child-friendly too; we have a games room, games field and play areas so the little ones can burn off some energy!
