Situated on the outskirts of Chedington village, our charming country pub is situated high in the chalk fields of West Dorset, and commands one of the finest views in the West Country. Surrounded by National Trust Land, the area is an unspoilt rural delight.

It’s the perfect place to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner with 6 modern and comfortable ensuite bedrooms which are set
back from the main pub building.

Conveniently located just off a main the road that links Crewkerne and Dorchester, the Inn is the ideal location for exploring the whole of the West Dorset area, from the picturesque coastal town of Lyme Regis to the famous Jurassic Coast line to Weymouth.

What a find, a brilliant place to eat, drink and sleep.

This pub has everything going for it. Excellent location, great good and friendly staff. However, as a resident, charging for breakfast with each item individually priced (even beverages, which aren't really optional for that meal) as though dining in a restaurant is a poor policy. I would rather have paid more for a package that included breakfast as is more normal.

Just lovely

You know those places that make you feel genuinely welcome the moment you set foot inside? Winyard's Gap is one of those. If you're taking one of the lovely rooms for the night - in our case with our dog - it's also the sort of place which gets all the little personal touches spot-on. Very pleasant inn.

Stayed one night while visiting the area. Dog friendly inn. Food in pub was very good and plentiful. Plenty of areas to walk the dog. Room was comfortable and clean. Great shower.
