Double Room with shared bathroom and Kitchen

Our double room has direct access to the enclosed courtyard garden, a comfortable double bed with duck and down feather duvets and pillows. A flat screen TV, DAB radio, hair dryer and free Wi-Fi access to a shower room located next door and shared with one other room. An iron is available to use in the kitchen. Laundry and cooking facilities are available to use in the new and fully equipped shared kitchen. We have rooms on the ground and lower ground floors. Please note that due to current government restrictions we have closed our shared kitchens when more than one household books a room that has access. If you booking is reliant on having kitchen access please email/call the hotel in advance to discuss.


Regency House is a small, independent, boutique hotel accommodating tourists, business people and academics. It is housed in two beautiful, five storey Victorian buildings side by side and located in Cambridge city centre. Built in 1850, the hotel has the charming characteristics of a typical Victorian townhouse, with high ceilings and sash windows. There are 16 stylish rooms and apartments split over five levels; most have a view of the historical 25-acre Parker’s Piece, and two have balconies.

Just a five-minute walk from the bus station and fewer than ten minutes from the train station.

In 2015, the hotel underwent a full refurbishment with a contemporary colour scheme designed by Farrow and Ball. The house has been transformed with new bathrooms, carpets, furniture and fittings. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house and is complimentary. Every room has a flat screen TV, DAB radio, comfortable mattresses with duck and down feather duvets and pillows.

Regency House may not be suitable for guests with disabilities or mobility issues due to the rooms being spread out over five floors. Regency House does not have a night porter to assist guests; guests must be able to evacuate themselves in an emergency. There are no vibrating pads or visual alarms at this property to alert guests with disabilities in the event of fire.
