About this property

Double Rooms at Regency Guest House

Our 2 double bedrooms with private bathrooms and use of a shared kitchen all have modern furnishings, a comfortable double bed with duck and down feather duvets and pillows. The private bathroom is located next door to the room and contains a shower, hand basin and toilet. Each room has a flat screen TV, DAB radio, hair dryer and free Wi-Fi access and laundry and cooking facilities are available to use in the new and fully equipped shared kitchen. Our light and airy rooms have a tasteful décor and park views. These rooms have small single futon beds available for use, these beds are for occasional use and more suited to a child or small adult. If you wish to book the futon for use you must select a third person and this will instruct us to provide you with the extra bedding needed.
We have rooms on the ground, second and third floor. If you have a preference please email/telephone the hotel before placing your booking.
Please note that due to current government restrictions we have closed our shared kitchens when more than one household books a room that has access. If you booking is reliant on having kitchen access please email/call the hotel in advance to discuss.

Regency House is a small, independent, boutique hotel accommodating tourists, business people and academics. It is housed in two beautiful, five storey Victorian buildings side by side and located in Cambridge city centre. Built in 1850, the hotel has the charming characteristics of a typical Victorian townhouse, with high ceilings and sash windows. There are 16 stylish rooms and apartments split over five levels; most have a view of the historical 25 acre Parker’s Piece and two have balconies.

Just a five minute walk from the bus station and fewer than ten minutes from the train station.

In 2015, the hotel was fully refurbished with a contemporary colour scheme design from Farrow and Ball. The house has been transformed with new bathrooms, carpets, furniture and fittings. Wi-Fi runs as standard throughout the house and is free. Every room has a flat screen TV, DAB radio, comfortable mattresses with duck and down feather duvets and pillows.

Regency House may not be suitable for guests with disabilities or mobility issues due to the rooms being spread out over five floors. Regency House does not have a night porter to assist guests , guests must be able to evacuate themselves in an emergency. There are no vibrating pads or visual alarms at this property to alert guests with disabilities in the event of fire.

It was a very nice stay at your guest house.
We just slept there, had showers and very short walks to the city centre.

Simple, quick and effective
IT was excellent. We arrived late at night - were a little worried when we didn't see our name in the list but it was because we were staying in adjacent building. Great location, walked everywhere and were pleasantly surprised with the room, bed and bathroom.

6/10 Okay

Ana

Beautiful but tight
The hotel is very good located and beautiful. But, as I have read in previous comments, is a little tight, so, if you travel with big luggage or you need space, is not your place. Also, the stairs are steep and narrow, so not all people can feel comfortable in them. Breakfast is correct, depending your room could be in another building so, with bad weather (rain, so cold) could be uncomfortable. All the cleaning was very superficial, nothing deep.
