About this property

Single Ensuite at Flossie's B&B

En-suite bathroom, kitchenette, and delightful views of the garden and countryside. TV with free view..
Situated in the heart of rural Hampshire, Flossie's offers a warm and friendly welcome, and invites guests to relax and enjoy a peaceful break in truly beautiful and idyllic surroundings. We are 5 miles outside the town of Alton and there is no public transport.

We are a small B&B and do not operate a 24 hr reception like hotels, Same day bookings will not be accepted after 8pm We also ask guests to respect the property as this is our home as well. We do not have a village pub or restaurant but there are facilities within 2.5 miles

The Garden Cottage offers 2 separate single bedrooms, 2 shower rooms, kitchenette and guest garden. Friendly, family atmosphere in peaceful unspoiled village location. We are in farming country so occasionally there are farming activities taking place around us.

Flossie's B&B is a small family run B&B with all the comforts of home and good old-fashioned friendly service. Children are up to 10 years of age only, over this age they are classed as an adult.

We do know that parts of the building look tired but we are working through a refurbishment programme
DOGS
We have three dogs and this is their home they are happy to share with you
We welcome dogs, but they MUST have a current up to date vaccination card, including kennel cough, (this MUST be produced and will be kept for the duration of your stay) failure to do so will result in refusal of accepting the booking for your dog.

The property is a no smoking property, guests are requested to smoke in car park area only

Good B&B with Homely Feel
Ideally located for those wishing to explore the Meon Valley. Generally I found the hosts to be pleasant and helpful. Old fashioned country post-office and B&B made for a homely feel. Single guest room was sufficient for me with a fridge and microwave.

Dave: I was born in the county, in Warsash. I have served in the RAF as an electronics Technician working on radio and radar equipment used by Air Traffic, A colleague and I were actually filmed coming out of the radar building seen in the James Bond Film ;The Living daylights which was partly filmed in Gibraltar, sadly our bit was cut but you can se a grey box at the base of the steps which we had just carried out.

After leaving the RAF I became a telecoms engineer working throughout the UK and Europe, I also served as a Special Constable in Hampshire for 13 years. After 2001 I changed career to work in the pre hospital environment starting of as a Community Responder and ending up as an IHCD Ambulance Technician working on double crewed ambulances and also singularly on the Rapid Response Vehicles.

I left the Ambulance service in 2015 to take over a village shop, post office and Flossies B&B. with my partner. recently I have trained as an instructor so I can now teach First aid as many different levels, I also provide First Aid cover for small events.

I am a keen photographer and love filming wild life.
