The cottage is an end-of-terrace house which was built in 1819.
It is Grade II listed and stands in a conservation area in Weymouth Old Harbour. It is 25 yards from the water's edge (side on, not facing) and a stone's throw from Brewers' Quay.
There are plenty of pubs, restaurants and fish and chip shops nearby, and the nearest supermarket, a 24-hour Asda is only a short walk away.
The Georgian town centre and the long, sandy beach are some five or six minutes' walk away, across the town bridge.
The harbour is lively and picturesque, and is a starting point for fishing trips and pleasure excursions.
Closer to home is Portland, reached either by boat, car or bus. Other favourites with our visitors are Lulworth Cove, Corfe Castle, Abbotsbury with its Swannery and Tropical Gardens, Chesil Beach, Lyme Regis and Dorchester.

This house is just perfect. The location was great and everything about the property was excellent. We had a fantastic few days and will definitely book again.
I booked this cottage for my Grandparents for my Gramps 80th birthday & it exceeded all expectations.
Communication with Julia & John was excellent, very helpful and answered all questions we had prior to & after booking.
My Grandparents said the cottage was just perfect, great location, extremely comfortable & the welcome treats were such a lovely touch.
Thank you so much Julia & John - we will be back!

Great location but property a little tired and unloved
A great location beside the marina and close to the town amenities but as this is a listed property some quirks are to be expected (eg wonky floors, narrow staircase). However, this property is a little tired and unloved compared to (5) other Vrbo properties we have stayed in recently. Most obvious, on arrival, was the damp smell from the linked 'conservatory' which, frankly, should be removed. First floor living room was pleasant and bedrooms OK. Bathroom and kitchen very dated, which may be due to renovation limitations associated with listed status.
We had a fantastic stay at the property. The beds were comfortable, very clean and it included all the necessities! And even better, a 30 second walk to the shops, harbour and pub! Great location!
Well what can I say apart from I will definitely be booking again, spotlessly clean, great place to stay in an ideal location
Found parking easy although we didn’t use car much
This is a great central location. Good access to the harbour, town and sea front. A lovely cottage in many respects but floors extremely sloped though ( felt a bit sea sick!) No parking which was a down side. But it was a really pleasant cottage.

Thank you for your review; however I would like to clarify that parking was available by use of a permit at the cottage. Best wishes Julia and John
Came across this property last minute and was a little sceptical as to why it was still available. However no need to worry because as the famous wood stain people would say "you get what it says on the tin".
The property was very clean and nicely furnished. The availability of two double bedrooms on separate floors avoided any arguements over the snoring!!
The cottage is typically quirky with uneven floors and off square door frames etc.
Sitting in the suntrap private court yard in the morning with a coffee and paper was lovely. Having two public houses and at least four eating establishments within yards of the front door for us was a pleasant bonus and the location to the harbour side was fantastic for people watching.
We would definitely rent this property again and would recommend to others.
Would definitely come again. Family with grown up children will struggle with 2 bedrooms with double beds. Suggest to have twin beds in one bedroom. Could do with better bedding/matrass es
