There are three spacious bedrooms all individually decorated, with the master bedroom enjoying the benefit of patio doors to the balcony. The open living space is ideal for sociable meals and the perfect place to relax and unwind by the wood burner. There’s even a small private enclosed garden with garden seating at the rear of the apartment for enjoying sunny weather.
Situated on Aberfeldy’s main street, you are close to numerous independent shops, restaurants, a library and cinema, and a short walk of the community swimming pool and sports facilities. Outdoor pursuits are well catered for in Aberfeldy’s large public park and cricket ground, along with tennis and bowls club, golf course, the ’Birks of Aberfeldy’, woodland walks and fishing on the River Tay. A pretty small market town, Aberfeldy is located in Highland Perthshire and lies on the south bank of the River Tay about 3 miles east of Loch Tay. It is famous for being mentioned in the poem ’The Birks Of Aberfeldy’ by Robert Burns and is home to a well-known whisky distillery and a majestic art deco cinema.
Loch Tay is the largest loch in Perthshire and is popular with sailors and water sports enthusiasts and is home to many ancient dwellings called crannogs. Nearby Glen Lyon is often described as the longest, loneliest, and loveliest glen in Scotland, and has a wonderfully mystical atmosphere. Highland Perthshire offers excellent golf, fishing and shooting, river rafting, canyoning, horse riding, highland safari adventure and off-road driving. There are many fine walks for all abilities from the level of loch shore to forest rambles and hiking the hills. The castles range from stately homes like Blair Castle and Scone Palace to the more traditional fortress such as Castle Menzies. Dunkeld and Birnam with an ancient cathedral and period houses, is a great day out on the banks of the River Tay with unique shops, great eating places and unusual exhibitions to visit. With easy access to the A9, the cities of Perth, Dundee and Edinburgh are popular for interesting and varied days out. You can be in Glenshee, Scotland’s largest ski resort and the Cairngorm National Park within an hour and Edinburgh within 90 minutes. Shop and restaurant 100 yards, pub 200 yards.
