The large, airy and comfortable living space is tastefully decorated with original artwork adorning the walls. The owner has a wonderful eye for detail, and modern art is offset beautifully against his original antique furnishings. This is the perfect country escape for a family looking to enjoy space & open, uninterrupted views, there are even horses grazing in a field at the bottom of the garden. You can have your 'Swallows & Amazons' moment here! There is ample parking in the sweeping, private, gated driveway. The housekeeper lives in a neighbouring property and is on hand should anything be needed. Our beautiful property is available for short term & mid term lets (weekly gardener is included in STL).

We had good communication from booking, checking in and after our stay. The house is large with lovely size rooms with some old furniture plus modern pictures. The kitchen is stocked well but feel needs a few larger glasses and upgrade of some utensils. The grounds are lovely and you can often see the squirels and bird's in the garden. I gave the property a good due to the fact it looks a little run down, but our overall stay was excellent was perfect for us and close to everything we needed.
The property looks dreadful when you arrive, it is tired and old with weeds growing through steps leading up to a faded front door. The grounds are beautiful and the house large enough for our family. We had a lovely time but we’re disappointed that the house was tired. The open log fire is wonderful, the rugs in the lounge need replacing and the dehumidifier outside the basement rooms was noisy at night.
All in all it’s a great location, the staff we came into contact with are lovely and very helpful but the house needs updating and maybe as it was Christmas a Christmas tree would have been a nice touch. We rent every Christmas for a family get together. Not quite worth the money but thank you Abby for getting it ready for us and helping with finding us an electric car charging point locally x

We have passed your comments on to the owner who is constantly making improvements. The steps are actually covered in beautiful flowering shrubs... but have been jet hosed and cleaned allowing shrubs at the edges.
A spacious property with plenty of room inside and out for ten adults. Outside furniture was rather tired, but fine inside. Generally well equipped kitchen, but short on tea towels and no oven gloves to be found! One of the double beds is a bit on the small side, but beds generally very comfortable.
