Beautiful setting, and a beautiful house. So well furnished and equipped. Owner was extremely helpful prior to our stay.Highly recommend this property.
The house was a perfect for our family celebration. We were met by the owner and given lots of helpful information - as well as some welcome goodies! I would highly recommend this property
The perfect property for family gatherings or birthday celebrations. Communication with the owner was seamless and the property itself was spacious, full of charm with a modern facilities.
Lovely break away from it all between Raglan and Monmouth in a relaxing and wonderfully equipped farmhouse. Catering for ten of us (ages 1-65) and a small dog all our needs were met - from a high chair and cot through to logs for the fire and hot tub towels. It was a great break and we returned refreshed and rejuvenated.

Lovely to host you all. Please do feel free to return and enjoy the sunshine and pizza oven (the snow was unexpected in March!) next time.
Beautiful location with amazing views. Well equipped house. Hot tub was a hit. Note that It's old so has little steps, creaky floors and the two 2nd floor bedrooms are vaulted. Wish en-suite to main bedroom had a loo and it wasn't such a battle to unlock the front/back doors, but we had a wonderful break. Panoramic views from kichen/diner are stunning.
A beautiful farm house catering for everyone’s needs. We have just returned after 3 days with my family aged 8 months to 50 plus, 12 people in total. Each and everyone of us had a great time. The extensive outdoor space was ideal for everyone alongside the well equipped farm house. We were greeted at the start of our break to be introduced

Thankyou Louise, so pleased you all enjoyed your stay..We would love to welcome you all again ! The house was left in such good order thankyou 🙂
Beautiful, well-equipped and comfortable house. Living area is exceptional with floor to ceiling views of the lush countryside on two sides of large kitchen/diner. Even though the weather wasn't warm enough to sit outside, we felt connected to the outdoors.
Communication was responsive, friendly and helpful
We are a group of 5 couples and this is our second stay. We love the house with everything you need. It’s comfortable, plenty of space with the best views ever. There is nothing we could recommend to change because every box is ticked. Thank you
We had the most amazing week staying at this property. Everything was upto our expectations and there was enough space for 11 of us to sit together, whether it was in the kitchen or lounging in the evening. The host and house keeper were both amazing from the minute I booked this stay and were so helpful and accommodating.
I would highly recommend this place. It ticks all the boxes.
Perfect for relaxing, get together and exploring the local area.
A wonderful house and fantastic setting. Watching the sunset from the hot tub was magical. The house has everything you could want, and more. The kitchen was superb and fully equipped and all the beds were very comfortable. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.
We rented the house to celebrate my 60th birthday with children and grandchildren.
In all honesty we could not have chosen a nicer place to stay. We had everything we needed and this was a great base to explore the area.
The house is lovely and is situated in a beautiful part of Wales. We were more than happy and the kids loved the big garden to play in.
I would recommend this to anyone for a great holiday.

About the host
Hosted by Vicky Grinnell-Wright
My family and I renovated Lower House as our family home. We raised our (now teen) children here and are currently re-located for schooling. We wanted to share some of the beauty of the Welsh hills with other families keen to spend some time together and create a little luxury respite from the challenges of the pandemic which has kept so many people apart from their friends and family.
Why they chose this property
The house is special to us, but the views are near panoramic and exceptional. If you are looking for comfort and a little luxury, in beautiful surroundings, then Lower House offers escape and relaxation, but with easy access to fine local food producers, excellent restaurants and stunning walks/cycle rides and water sports.
