The good the bad and the ugly

First the good, the scenery and vibe about the place is beautiful. Every where you look is a post card photo opportunity. The views were stunning from atop the island of Hvar and they have done a great job restoring the property. The pool (and again the vibe/view of it) were great. Communication with the property manager and the cleanliness was also very good (to some extent see ‘ugly’ below). The bad, the location is remote so don’t plan on making trips into town or eating at a restaurant. Not the end of the world since the property has the ability to cook, and may even be what some people desire, but I re-read the booking and there was no mention in the advertisement that it’s 3-miles off the paved road through rough gravel roads, which you likely do not want to drive if you have a car, and once you’re up there you don’t want to return to town. The ugly, it’s basically expensive “glamping” in that each window and door has gaps and space for bugs (mainly weird worm/centipede things everywhere), ants, geckos, and what we think was perhaps a venomous snake to visit the guests. It’s about managing expectations, which based on the advertisement didn’t quite capture some of the important subtleties that take away from the views and uniqueness of this property, especially at this price point.
