Dragonfly Sleeps 4 (2 Bedrooms)

Dragonfly cottage is designed with disability in mind as it has a wet room instead of the usual bath room. This cottage is all on ground floor so access is for all. There are 2 bedrooms one is a large spacious double with room for cots/extra beds (available by request) and one twin room. This has a large kitchen diner leading onto a lounge with access onto an outside patio area.



Both cottages are finished to a very high quality and have lots of room to relax in. All modern conveniences are fitted and central heating is included in price. Easy access to both cottages via main road networks- A14 & A605 are only 3 miles away but once you arrive they could be miles away. Fishing lake next door with daily permits available. Next to open countryside & nature reserve. Excellent pubs & restaurants in nearby towns.This project has been supported through the Rural Development Programme for England which is jointly funded by DEFRA & the European Union, and delivered by Defra.

Not meet expectation for what we pay

In the advertisement of the property was shown bathtub but no bathtub just only shower. It's quite dirty as seen spider web in bedroom and around the house. It's quite a big house but not good at decoration

De cottage is gelegen aan een lokale weg, hierdoor alleen verkeer wat naar de naast gelegen visvijver ging. Een heerlijke rustgevende omgeving met veel wandelpaden. De cottage heeft een prachtig uitzicht over de grote visvijver. De cottage zelf was erg ruim met 3 slaapkamers en heeft een zeer ruimte woonkamer met openslaande deuren naar het terras. Daarnaast is de keuken voorzien van een oven, magnetron, wasmachine en vaatwasser. Bij aankomst was de koelkast door de eigenaar voorzien van een aantal lokale producten zodat je voor de volgende ochtend een heerlijk ontbijt kom maken. Verder is de cottage een mooie uitvalbasis om een dit deel van Engeland te verkennen.

Lovely location by lake. Expansive accomodation. Appreciated Covid secure cleaning and preparation. Only downside was a rather tired wetroom where everything did get wet!(shelving would be useful)

Nightmare stay

We stayed at the property for four days and if it wasn’t for the location we would have gone home. Mould in the bin, spiders and cobwebs everywhere, filthy bathroom, overgrown lawn with a broken umberlla holder left, dirty cupboards and utensils, over priced and the only positive was the view and location. I spent my holidays cleaning.

Fantastic all round

Tim and Beverly gave us the warmest of welcomes and were so very easy to talk to. The photos on the website do not do it any justice.. The property is absolutely stunning and much bigger in real life. It has all the amenities you could need for a short or long term visit. Being able to to do some washing was very handy and we know now that we will not need to to pack so much on our next trip. It was so relaxing to sit either or in or outside with no nearby traffic or neighbors you could really soak up the peace and tranquility it had to offer. I would really recommend this property and the owners to everyone. Thank you guys so much for the stay and we look forward to seeing you again one day.

Prachtig uitzicht. Heel rustig. Het huis is heel ruim en goed ingericht. In de keuken is echt alles aanwezig. Het enige minpunt is dat het wel iets schoner kan. Bedden liggen heerlijk.Wij hebben er een hele fijne week gehad.

Perfect - The views are breathtaking.

We hired the Dragonfly 2 bed cottage for three nights over the christmas period. We arrived a little bit early and rang Tim the owner who said it wasnt a problem. Directions to pick up the keys were clear and simple. We then followed Beverley to the Barn and what a fantastic location, slap bang in the middle of the countryside. The Barn is decorated to a high standard with all mod cons and has a homely feel to it. Woke up early the following morning to the view of the trout fishery and surrounding countryside. Great Barn/cottage would highly recommend.
