Hunters Lodge - luxury 1 bedroom house with exclusive pool.
Hunters Lodge is a beautifully furnished, one bedroom, detached luxury house, with a small exclusive pool and pool house and a substantial deck. The property is easily accessible via a white (stony) road and in a private setting. Surrounded only by green with mountain views, peaceful and secluded but not isolated. It's rare to find independent properties just for two without having to share a garden and swimming pool. The Lodge sits adjacent to the main house, Villa Antonio but the gardens surrounding the house and the Lodge are separated, screened and fenced to ensure privacy. Hunters Lodge is elegant, spacious and unique and fully equipped. 5 minutes drive to a historic old town with all amenities and only 15 minutes away by car from the bustling towns of Sarnano and San Ginesio with markets and restaurants. 45 minutes to the nearest beach and 25 minutes to the mountains. We, the owners, occupy a building adjacent to Hunters Lodge and share the car park so we are available if you require any help or advice but we do everything to ensure that your privacy is respected at all times.

We had a wonderful week staying in this property. Lynne and Ken were absolutely lovely and couldn't have done more to make us feel at home and on holiday! The area is absolutely beautiful, the house is gorgeous and has everything you could possibly want. I couldn't recommend this more if you want a peaceful and relaxing break in a beautiful location with brilliant hosts.
Lynn and Ken are the perfect hosts.. on arrival they both came out to greet us and show us around the villa and it’s adorable and immaculate surroundings.
It was everything we had imagined.. sadly the weather wasn’t our friend, but that didn’t prevent us from exploring the small town and local areas.
Hunters lodge is the perfect setting for a quiet, calm break away. But also close enough to some stunning areas to visit.
The house, the garden, the pool and the terrace were in impeccable condition. I don't know what to say except that every little details was thought through by the hosts, who were always available if necessary.
Thank you for having us!
Hunter's Lodge was the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing holiday in the Italian countryside. Our holiday started on a high thanks to the very warm welcome of Lynne and Ken. The house was very well equipped for 2 people and the private swimming pool and large garden were a big plus. We took advantage of the terrace and outside lounge area to savour home-cooked meals using local ingredients and Lynne's beautiful herb garden as the finishing touch! Thanks Lynne and Ken for the lovely week in your beautiful house.
First class accommodation in a stunning setting

The property is immaculately clean, it is, as if everything is new

Welldone!
We hebben genoten.
Hunter's Lodge is a beautiful property and the most well equipped vacation home we've stayed in. The exterior reflects the locality, blending in with the countryside but the interior is modern with every convenience and luxury you could desire. One of the reasons I choose the property is the location and the ability to isolate during these difficult times. We had our own private space with a swimming pool and several outdoor areas to dine and hang out in. The wonderful hosts live on the property and are there if you need them but otherwise give you your privacy. I didn't want to leave and hope to return.
Soluzione ideale per relax e per evitare affollamenti.
Appartamento dotato di ogni confort, molto silenzioso ed immerso nella natura.
I proprietari sono molto gentili, professionali e discreti.
This lodge is a wonderful escape. Lynne and Ken are very attentive hosts, and had obviously thought of lots of little things to make us at home and comfortable. We had a completely relaxing stay and wanted for nothing. The surrounding area is lovely, and little Gualdo is a gem. We surely hope to return.
We had an amazing week at hunter’s lodge. Everything was so quiet and peacefull around the lodge. And within the house you will find everything you need (and more). We hope to come back in a few years! Thanks Lynne and Ken!

We have just returned from 8 days at Hunters Lodge and as the title of the review says, it’s as good as it looks and much much more.
The lodge is superbly equipped and so tastefully decorated. The stunning chandelier catching the sun and sending rays of rainbow colours in the living area was stunning. Everything you could need, it’s there, we wanted for nothing.
I really cannot fault the lodge, Lynne and Ken are so friendly and welcoming without being at all intrusive.
The Gualdo area is as stunning as it can be, better than we saw last year inTuscany. We absolutely loved our time at the lodge and will be returning.
Thank you both Lynne and Ken, we feel very privileged to have stayed at the lodge.
Everything we hoped for and more - totally exceeded our expectations and has set the bar very, very high for future bookings. Lynn and Ken should give lessons on how to do luxury holiday accommodation. We were so well looked after yet left in total privacy to enjoy a beautiful, peaceful and exceptionally well appointed accommodation. The surrounding area is stunning with beautiful rolling hills and unspoilt farmland, quaint villages and lovely food - but you may not want to leave the property! Our first few days were very hot so the private pool and shady relaxing areas were very welcome. Highly, highly recommended.

A luxurious retreat
Having recently returned from the idyllic location of Hunters Lodge, we have only the highest praise for Lynne and Ken for their dedicated presentation of both the interior and exterior of their beautiful property. If you are looking for a secluded hide-away where daily chores have already been spirited away before you rise then look no further. Help or advice is always on hand if needed, otherwise you will seldom see your hosts as the by-word here is 'Silence is golden' and your privacy is totally respected. We have had the most wonderful two month's stay here enjoying the peace and tranquility by the pool when it was hot; visiting the awesome Sibillini Mountain Range which is so close to here; or discovering a different restaurant each evening to delight in the magnificent locally offered produce. Come and indulge yourself in a touch of luxury, we can highly recommend it and a huge thank you to Lynne and Ken for making our stay so memorable. John and Maureen, Australia.

For all you lucky people who found this beautiful house and think that all the photo's and reviews are too good to be true: think again, it is all true. Everything we wanted to say has been said by our predecessors. There is no need to repeat what is so obvious: it is a magnificent place to spend a holiday, in a beautiful location and the owners are the most wonderful and hospitable people you could meet.
Thank you Ken and Lynne, we have had a marvellous time. We will definitely return.
Best regards, Jan and Machteld.

Fabulous accommodation in a peaceful setting in Le Marche
We had a perfect nine day break at Hunter's Lodge and our high expectations of the property were exceeded. We now understand all the great reviews and why people return and we have already booked for next year. The lodge is really spacious, private and immaculately presented with everything you could wish for.
The views in the area are breathtaking and we particularly enjoyed the spectacular vista from the top of the neighbouring village of Penna San Giovanni which take in the Sibilini mountain range and the hilltop towns of Marche. We explored many of the towns and villages in the area and look forward to discovering more!
Ken and Lynne were perfect hosts, available to answer any questions but respect our privacy.
We are returning to Hunter's lodge again next year to explore more of Marche.

Wonderful bolthole in Le Marche
"Thank you both for a fabulous few days in a perfect bolt hole that ticked all our traveling, self-catering boxes and many more besides. This is our fourth visit to Italia and the best region, so far. More stunning scenery than Tuscany and the best mountain rides/roads for Si's motorbike days. Loved the company of Wonky, Minnie and co. together with all the wildlife each evening. The wild boar being our highlight. Just what we needed to re-charge our batteries before moving house and a change of career for me. Hope to return one day .... think Christmas here would be magical! Simon & Louise".

Wonderful property perfect for a relaxing holiday
We love this property and have now stayed three times. The property is immaculate and furnished inside and out to a very high standard with everything you could wish for for a quiet relaxing holiday. Ken and Lynne are wonderful hosts and make you feel welcome and relaxed from the moment you meet them and perfectly strike that fine balance between helpfulness and discretion. Returning again next year.

Best Holiday accommodation we have ever found!
Immaculate, characterful, pretty house with everything you could wish for. The house, garden and pool was fabulous and we were very well looked after by Lynne and Ken. There could not have been a better equipped kitchen and the welcome pack of provisions was thoughtful. I would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation.

Bliss, as always!
Here we are on our third visit to Hunters Lodge! This trip we have visited the impressive Frasassi Caves, walked at Lago di Fiastra and near Bolognola and been to Ancona among many other trips. Most of all we have enjoyed relaxing days here, sunbathing by the pool and bbqing in the evening. We have also seen an abundance of wildlife, wild boar, deer, foxes, baby owls and a badger on the road at night and one tiny but very noisy frog/toad by the pool. Thanks again to Lynne and Ken for creating a lovely place to stay. Another wonderful holiday! J&B

Paradise
We've been to Marche many times but have now found the perfect place to stay - rural location with very high standard accommodation. A thoroughly enjoyable fortnight recharging the batteries - shame we didn't see any boar but the little holes in the garden and the chewed roots meant that it was our fault and not theirs! Thank you Lynne and Ken for being perfect hosts. Would highly recommend and have already booked for next year. Keith and Sally

Just bliss
Dear Lynne and Ken, another brilliant holiday, thank you so much. Yours is the perfect place to relax, read, watch for signs of wildlife on the hillside and generally recharge our batteries. Seeing the wild boar nearly nightly was an extra treat! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality again,

Amazingly relaxing
What a perfect place to spend our holiday. We are planning our next trip in 2016. Amazing weather, beautiful countryside, fabulous house- what more can we say? Lots of Bee-eaters which delighted Andrew. Deer, foxes, porcupine and wild boar all seen within walking distance. San Ginesio restaurants are worth a visit. Roman ruins and near Urbisaglia and the nature reserve and monastery at Abbadia di Fiastra were absolute serenity.
Please look out for the sunbathing terrier in middle of the road on your way out of Gualdo
You have made us very welcome. We love it here and understand why you left the UK for such a lovely home here. Thank you so much for everything.

About the host
Hosted by Lynne Treves
We have lived here in Gualdo since 2004. Ken is a builder and so we embarked on a huge restructuring project and we consider ourselves very lucky to have discovered a little piece of paradise in the area. We have turned an old block garage into a contemporary, luxury home. We have become accustomed to the peace and the privacy and the wildlife that shares our garden. Deer are common and so are the wild boars who come to plough up our field with their snouts and devastate the vegetable plots and the little fox cub who steals shoes left out under the loggia at night. If this is the only crime that happens in our neighbourhood then we are very happy with that.
Why they chose this property
We fell upon this property by chance but it had everything we were looking for: restructuring/renovation projects, a peaceful location, views of the mountains, green views all round and no other properties close by and it has not disappointed us. The house is situated on a white (stony) road which is well maintained by the local council and is easily accessible. White roads drop off the sides of the main roads and wind their way down to sparsely populated, secluded areas. Gualdo is part of the 'golden' triangle with two ancient towns, San Ginesio and Sarnano only 15 minutes away by car.
What makes this property unique
The house offers tranquillity something rarely found in some of the best holiday resorts. but so that you do not feel entirely cut off from the world we have a TV with English programmes and radio and WiFi. It is only 1 mile outside Gualdo old town with all amenities but close enough to the mountains (25 mins by car) for the nature lovers and close enough to beaches (45 mins by car) so that you don't have to travel far for a change of scenery. There is so much to see and do in Le Marche for the adventurers, 'Marche Voyager' is the best website for information.
