A place to return to
My sister, brother-in-law and I shared Casa Ciliegia for a week. The accommodations were perfect for two couples or in our case three people. We enjoyed having separate living spaces with the kitchen in the upper level where I stayed. The property is located in a beautiful and quiet area of Italy. This was our first visit to Le Marche and we'll be back! Casa Cappella was very well-maintained and the furnishings, bedding, towels and other amenities were tasteful, well-designed and maintained. The kitchen was well-equipped with a dishwasher, a new induction cooktop, and a more than adequate refrigerator and freezer. Lona and Gavin had stocked the kitchen and refrigerator with an abundant amount of food and sundries. We greatly appreciated being able to prepare our first meals without having to drive to a grocery. Lona and Gavin have created and maintained a very special landscape surrounding the three structures. We enjoyed their harvests of different fruits and herbs. Lona also shared jams that she made with the produce from their fruit trees. They have also worked very hard to provide a lot of written information about restaurants, things to do and see, etc. Both Lona and Gavin were very willing to recommend restaurants and outings when asked and made reservations for us multiple times. While we were there, a young British couple were staying in the other rental for two weeks. It was their third visit (including their honeymoon 6 years ago). They told us they were already planning their next visit! Lona and Gavin treated us like we were new friends, not paying guests, in a genuine and heart-warming manner. They are fascinating and gracious people. I highly recommend Casa Cappella and Casa Ciliegia and I plan to return with my wife to introduce her to this beautiful region of Italy and to Lona and Gavin.

Danke Lona

Danke an Lona für die Gastfreundschaft.
So lovely we don’t want to tell anybody in case it is full when we want to go back!
Casa Capella is such a beautifully thought out, well looked after property that we had a great week here. It looks just like it does in the photos. It’s comfortable and well equipped which meant with a most generous welcome hamper including cheese, butter, eggs, prosciutto, milk, bread, home made jam, lots of wine. In fact everything we needed to set us up for the week when we arrived.
We enjoyed swimming in the 15m pool and then just looking at the view across open countryside to the hills. We could eat at the shaded table by our little house and also sit and chat and have a drink in the portico outside the main house where Lona, our welcoming but unobtrusive host, lives. She was on hand to give us advice on places to go, restaurants and shops.
It was our first visit to Le Marche, although we have been to Italy many times and we appreciated its unspoilt beauty and lack of pretension. The roads were quiet, the hilltop villages beautiful, and the fields were full of sunflowers. We will be back.
We have been coming to Le Marche for ten years and this was our first time staying at Casa Capella. It certainly won’t be our last! From the start our host Lona made as feel so welcome and at home in her beautiful property. The welcome hamper that was waiting for us was the best we have ever encountered. The accommodation was outstanding with a well equipped kitchen. The luxurious bedroom had folding doors which looked out onto the large swimming pool. The bathroom had his and hers wash basins and a generously sized shower. We had a private covered area for outside dinning which was perfect for alfresco meals. There was also a lovely covered area for guests by the pool. This had comfortable chairs and sofas with cushions to relax on. Also in this area was a fridge stocked with wines, beers and soft drinks for us to use at our leisure. The wines are all from the local cantina and they were excellent. We felt that this was a really nice touch. Lona also gave us her amazing homemade Limoncello to try. It is superb and Lona very kindly kept us topped up throughout our stay. Lona has a wealth of information about great places to eat and things to see and do in the surrounding area. Before going any further we must mention Evie the most gorgeous dog you could ever meet and the equally adorable cats. To see Evie playing with her feline friends was a highlight of our holiday. If you’re feeling energetic, Evie loves a game of football! The location of the property is superb, with lovely views across the valley to Monte Rinaldo. It is well positioned for trips to the coast and to the stunning Sibillini mountains. The ambience is of peace and tranquillity. All in all if you are considering visiting Le Marche, put Casa Capella at the top of your list. David and Sarah.
Lona’s welcome was charming and generous. To start, we were overwhelmed by the supply of delicious provisions awaiting us, many originating in her garden. She is a fount of knowledge—attractions, facilities, restaurants, walks, day trips—and we were never bored.
The villages and larger towns in the region had the great advantage of not being overwhelmed with tourists as in other parts of Italy. Driving distances to the coast, historic hilltop towns or the regional capital were under 50 km.
The view from the site is spectacular. The apartment was beautifully furnished, and we had ready access to all facilities we needed, and more. Thank you Lona for a memorable experience.

Casa Cappella - Just Perfect!
A simply beautiful location, with stunning views over the valley and across the hills. The property itself has been finished to a really high standard, with some great little touches that make it something special.
The compact, but not cramped, offshot kitchen is modern and well equiped, there's a full size hob and oven, dishwasher, and fridge with icebox. Plenty of pots, pans, and a very good selection of sharp knives (something often lacking).
This leads nicely into a comfortable sitting room, with sofa, TV, speaker, a selection of books, etc - and a multi USB charging block - really handy!
There's also a very well detailed visitors pack, with a lot of really useful info on the local area.
The bedroom is light and airy, with doors that will open fully onto the pool area, there's a ceiling fan for those very hot nights, and a huge wardrobe for all your clothes.
Dressing gowns and a hairdrier are provided, as are standard and pool towels, the bed is huge, and really comfortable.
The bathroom has double sinks set in a cabinet, a huge lit mirror, plug sockets, a toilet, and a huge shower with a rain shower head - and the best thing for me was that the water is very soft, which meant that my hair has not felt so good in ages!
All the doors and windows have well build fly screens, so you can have your windows open all day and night if you want, and they havec shutters that can be used if wanted too.
Theres a really private little covered outdoor BBQ and dining area to the side of the house, with a gas BBQ, which is useful for drying clothes too.
The sun loungers and sun shade by the pool are a great place to spend a few hours reading and relaxing, and the pool itself was a pleasant surprise - 15m long, and more than deep enough for a good swim, or a bit of a splash about to cool off.
the whole outside area is well maintained, and well designed for either socialising or privacy.
Overall the property was incredibly clean, absolutely spotless! As were all the towels and linen, the cutlery, etc
Lona is a fantastic host, very friendly, and happy to give advice on what to do, where to go, or how to get there if requested.
Favourite places - Centanni for wine, Lake Fiastra, the village for sunset views, Rosita for pizza, PSG for shopping, Mecozzi for icecream

Fantastisch!
