Stunning Property in a Tranquil Position

Hillside property with stunning views of Sarnano and the Sibillini Mountain National Park. Fully equipped, self-contained property situated at over 600m altitude, with a large garden which is completely fenced off. Private terrace for outdoor dining/relaxing. Free WiFi. The house is in the small village of Poggio, halfway between the popular spa town of Sarnano and Gualdo. The tap water is excellent quality. The mountains are just a short distance, with winter skiing, and superb summer walks. A public outdoor pool is located in nearby San Ginesio, with a covered municipal pool, tennis courts and crazy golf in Sarnano. Adriatic beaches are a 1 hr drive, with the National Park and Lake Fiastra 30 mins away.

Very nice house

Wonderful view and a large garden (completely fenced). Large house fully equipped. Sarnano is 10 minutes away by car. Good internet signal. We would book the house again.

Wonderful place and surroundings

We had a wonderful stay with all our family in this beautiful Chalet. All services were in perfect conditions and we had a perfect experience with everything in very good conditions. The place is really wonderful with perfect silence but not so isolated, and that makes you feel fully safe in every moment. Michela also made us feel very welcome and offered us to be there in case we needed something. Thanks a lot!!

Nice house, but it could be better.

Climate of the home In our opinion, the house is moderately insulated and therefore sensitive to temperature fluctuations. When you turn down the heating, before going to sleep and walk around the house the next morning or come back from an outing and have turned the heating back on, it's just cold and unpleasant. It then takes some time before the house is a bit warm again. In our opinion, the house is more suitable for summer recreation. That could be different, provided the owners are willing to pay attention to and invest in insulation and optimization of the heating. Due to its location, there are excellent opportunities for solar energy. The comfort of the home When you enter the house on the top floor (there are two living units in the house) you enter a beautiful room in which the living room and kitchen are located. The kitchen is fine and has all the comforts to prepare a good meal, store food and do the dishes with the dishwasher. There is a long table with 6 chairs around it suggesting the cottage would be suitable for 6 people. We seriously wonder if the cottage can accommodate 6 guests? Then we come to the furnishing. We wonder why there are so many of the holiday homes of the hopelessly ill-fitting sofa beds are placed. Nice and cheap and practical perhaps, but because of the combination function, you cannot sit properly on it and it is expected that a good night's sleep will be impossible. For us a motive not to rent the house anymore. Our advice; invest in a decent and comfortable sofa and buy a separate folding bed if you want to accommodate a 5th person as a guest. That makes your holiday home more valuable. The lighting in the living & dining room consists of only a few spotlights on the wall and on the ceiling beams, a twilight lamp on the sideboard and a floor lamp by the armchairs. These are so badly installed that the table and the sitting area cannot be used properly to read a book in low light, just to name an example. The fluorescent lamp in the kitchen may be practical, but it does not contribute to a homely and convivial atmosphere. The television, it was quite an experience to get a picture on it. The range of programs consisted of Italian TV channels. In our opinion you can make more TV channels available in a fairly simple way with international values, such as the BBC (GB), ARD and ZDF (German) BVN (NL) and so there will be even more possibilities. Furthermore, it is now possible to bring your own local TV

Dear Aart. Many thanks for your very detailed review. We do not normally let the house in the winter due to access in case of snow and I know you did not have great weather. We are in the process of installing a fixed air conditioner/ heater which will hopefully stabilise the temperature. The sofa bed (guest 5) is very rarely used. I accept it is a compromise and not as comfortable as a regular sofa. You make a valid point - I will think about replacing it and bringing in a fold up bed for the few times it is used. I hope you did not sleep on the sofa bed! The double and single beds are brand new this year with high quality mattresses and everyone is finding them extremely comfortable. I accept the lighting could be improved (particularly the kitchen strip light). There is a dedicated reading chair and reading light though. I’m not sure why you could not find BBC and German news channels on the satellite receiver. They are all there. And there is an Amazon Fire TV which gives you access to all the usual apps. Many thanks again for your suggestions. I am considering them now. Come back in the summer (with better weather) and I think you would have a similar positive experience to our other guests. Wir hatten schöne Tage in einer gemütlichen Hütte, die sich gemütlich und heimisch angefühlt hat. Wir genossen jeden Morgen das Frühstück mit Blick ins Tal und auf die gegenüberliegende Bergkette und starteten entspannt und frisch gestärkt unsere Tagesausflüge. In der Natur rund um Poggio kann man wunderbar laufen und Sara und Andy sind sehr freundliche, entgegenkommende Gastgeber, die stets gut erreichbar waren, wenn wir eine Frage hatten.

Bellissimo chalet sui monti sibillini

Chalet ben arredato, pulito e con tutti i confort, con un panorama bellissimo sui monti sibillini e su Sarnano. Nelle vicinanze c'è tutto quello che serve Market, ristoranti di ottima qualità. La casa essendo rivestita tutta in legno trattiene un po' il caldo e pertanto , essendo un periodo molto caldo, siamo stati costretti ad usufruire del condizionatore e dei ventilatori fortunatamente in dotazione. Esperienza sicuramente di ripetere!

Één plaats om tot rust te komen.

Leuk ingerichte chalet met alles wat je nodig hebt. Tiptop in orde. Rustige ligging en fantastisch uitzicht vanuit keuken en van op het terras. Wij hebben alleen pech gehad met het weer.

La casa è semplicemente fantastica, quando entri percepisci subito l'atmosfera di pace e relax che trasmette. La posizione è a dir poco unica con un panorama eccezionale. Nelle vicinanze c'è tutto quello che serve dai market a ristoranti di qualità. La casa è arredata con ottimo gusto e la cucina è molto attrezzata. Fantastisch huis met een nog meer fantastisch uitzicht. Fenomenaal. Als we ondanks alles toch twee verbeterpunten mogen noemen. Zorg voor een parasol en overweeg om een vaste airco aan te leggen want het kan wel warm zijn. De aanwezige mobiele airco red het dan gewoon niet. Maar ondanks deze twee punten is het een fantastisch huis. De reis meer dan waard.

Soggiorno piacevole, casa in posizione tranquilla e silenziosa con vista stupenda, super accessoriata, esattamente quello che cercavamo; uniche pecche che hanno creato qualche disagio sono state la scarsa illuminazione sia interna che esterna, la rete di recinzione con svariati buchi da cui più volte sono fuggiti i nostri cani, condizionatore portatile completamente inefficace, letto matrimoniale pericolante.

Ho trascorso una piacevolissima settimana con mia moglie e i miei figli. La casa è meravigliosa, ha una vista spettacolare su Sarnano e i Sibillini, è arredata con gusto ed è molto fornita per qualsiasi necessità. Il giardino e il parcheggio interno comodissimi. Io, la mia compagna, nostra figlia di 2 anni e la nostra canina abbiamo soggiornato in questo Chalet per 5 giorni e siamo stati benissimo. Splendida la vista ed i servizi offerti. I live in the UK with my husband, 2 sons and chocolate labrador, Marmite. We worked in Italy for 3 years from 2001-2004 and fell in love with the country. We travelled around Italy looking for the ideal spot for a holiday home and settled on Le Marche. It is stunningly beautiful; we love the mountains, beaches, food and wine and have made lots of friends in Sarnano. We go back as often as my husband's work schedule allows.

Why they chose this property

We bought in the spa town of Sarnano as it is stunningly beautiful. We love the fact that we are on the edge of the Sibillini National park (great for skiing, walking and Fiastra Lake), close to lots of hilltop towns for days out and also have easy access to the beaches on the Adriatic Coast. Sarnano is only 1 hr and 15 mins from Ancona Airport and is perfect for a relaxing holiday.

What makes this property unique

The property is located in Poggio, just 5 minutes out of Sarnano. You have sole use of the property as the downstairs apartment is not let and used only by us when no one is renting. The large garden is fenced off and so suitable for bringing a dog. The views of the Sibillini mountain range from the south facing terrace are simply stunning. There are lots of fantastic, reasonably priced restaurants, osterias and pizzerias nearby. You will have the benefits of the property and enclosed garden to yourselves. It is perfect for a relaxing family holiday. Free wifi.
