A little about us – My first visit to The Gambia was in February 2006 and like many I fell in love with the country but due to circumstances I was not able to return until 2013. I came back to Cape Point, Bakau – it felt and feels like home. I met Lamin in 2014, we become business partners so when the opportunity came up for him to take over Sweden Corner in 2016 where he was working as a manager, I did not hesitant, we renamed it Friends Bar & Restaurant.

We wanted to build a future in Lamin’s hometown for ourselves, our family as well as supporting the economy of the community of Bakau as this is important to us and brought us to building Bojang River Lodge.
