The excellent location of the cottage makes it the perfect choice for a family get away. With beautiful views in all directions and away from any trafic, noise and light pollution (which is perfect for northern lights), the only thing you will hear is the river running down the mountain. It is located only 3 kilometres from Seljalandsfoss waterfall and 4 from the road N°1. It is the perfect base to visit all the main highlights of the south coast (Golden circle, black sand beach, Dyrhólaey, Vik, glacier lagoon...)

This beautifully refurbished cottage retains traditional character but also includes a host of modern comforts, making it an ideal home away from home. As a self-catering cottage, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay.

The kitchen has a fridge, a toaster, a kettle, a coffee maker, a freezer and a microwave.
The cottage is a perfect place to relax and offers a television and hi-speed internet access (wifi)

There is one bedroom in this cottage which contains a double bed. The additional sleeping space is a double sofa bed.

The bathroom has a washing machine (with a dryer function) and walk-in shower.

Linen, towels, essential toiletries, a hair dryer and an iron are all included to make your stay more enjoyable.

Came in late, a little tricky to find at night but beautiful views. Lovely house, warm and clean. Would stay again.

Sehr klein

Leider die schlechteste Unterkunft innerhalb der 4 Wochen. Es war sehr klein (meiner Meinung nach nicht die angegebenen 45 qm, vielleicht inklusive Vorraum und Terrasse, aber da kann man keine Klamotten hinstellen), nur ein gemütlicher Sessel, der Wäschetrockner hat die Wäsche extrem geknittert, keine Sitzgelegenheiten draußen auf der schönen Terrasse. Ansonsten Einrichtung sehr schön, alles sauber.

Idyllische Lage, Sauberkeit verbesserungswürdig

Grundsätzlich sehr schöne Wohnung, allerdings war die Küche nicht sehr sauber. Wir haben zuerst alles abgewaschen. Negativ war auch, dass Motten im Cottage waren, weshalb wir immer die Koffer geschlossen halten mussten. Die Lage war sehr idyllisch, weil auch abgelegen aber die Wasserfälle dafür in 5 min mit dem Auto erreichbar.

beauty and ease

We truly enjoyed our stay at Ludo's cottage. It was nestled in the most beautiful landscape. It's easy to travel from and to. The cabin was super clean and mindfully equipped. It's so peaceful and beautiful. We loved the daily visits from the sweet sheep. Ludo is very helpful and always responded in a timely way. We highly recommend Ludo's cottage and hope to visit again some day!

Perfect Icelandic Cottage Getaway

Our family loved every minute of our time at the cottage. We stayed at 6 different places during our trip, but the cottage was by far our favorite place. The cabin is simple, but modern. We had a beautiful view of waterfalls, green pastures and sheep out of every window. So peaceful. We hope to stay there again some day.
