Within easy walking distance there’s a pub, restaurant, fish and chip shop, brilliant butcher and a mini-market. Gairloch is a fabulous place to be based for a west coast holiday because beyond the immediate surroundings there are many iconic places to visit. Drive south to Torridon, Applecross, Lochcarron and Skye. Drive north for Loch Broom and the awesome Assynt area. Bayview itself is spacious and very comfortable for a couple. All on one level there’s an open plan living/dining/kitchen area. There’s a spacious double room and a shower room. The highlight though is an amazing seating area out the front of the bungalow which has views for 10 of miles to Torridon, Skye, Raasay and the whole of Gairloch.

We had a comfortable stay at Bay View over Christmas 2024.

We had a comfortable stay at Bay View over Christmas 2024. It’s set in a prime position over looking the village below and out over the bay and beyond in Gairloch. The property was equipped with everything we needed for a great stay. The only little issue was the ventilation as we arrived in 104KM winds so wasn’t able to open windows to clear condensation. The weather is ever changing in the area and sometimes the views were spectacular or sometimes there was heavy fog but to be able to have such a panoramic vista from the property made our holiday. We were greeted by our very friendly host who showed us everything and left us to enjoy our stay. The village itself has everything you could need: a store, petrol station, gift shops and tearooms as well as an award winning butcher and even a great vinyl reorder shop! It was tranquil and an excellent part of Scotland to explore..We would stay here again.
