Really liked the cozy atmosphere and quaint qualities. It was hard to find. That said, we were traveling at night, so it was particularly challenging. But we loved waking up in the morning to a quiet, peaceful location with coffee, sunshine, and a relaxed atmosphere!
This was a great stop off point on our way from Dublin to the south coast. Owners are very responsive and the place was newly remodeled, cute and tidy. Set in a rural, village neighborhood, there is not a lot to do in the immediate area, but many options within a relatively short drive.
My wife and I found the place easily and used it as a "home base" for the first week of our honeymoon to travel al over Ireland during the day and have a nice place to lay our head at night and have breakfast in the morning.
Lovely place to stay. My only wish was that there was a picture of the property from the road so that it made it easier to identify as being the correct location. Other than that, it was great! Had homemade muffins awaiting us. Very cozy and comfortable.
Very nice holiday home with a nice view of the surroundings. Nicely tastefully decorated plus top for me when the morning waiting for you in front of the house is a pony that forms a good environment. Excellent hosts.Suitable for a family of 4.
This beautiful little abode was spotless and surrounded by beautiful countryside in County Tipperary. Avril and Michael (the owners) were helpful when we had questions which were few. We enjoyed ourselves and found the accommodations perfect for meals at home, creating a central home base, and a comfy environment for our travels.
We really enjoyed our stay in Ballingary Upper at this adorable guest house. We wanted to be "off the grid" in the countryside for a couple of nights, so it was perfect for our family of four (2 adults, 2 pre teens). The owners are lovely and very responsive to any questions. Would definitely recommend to others.
Ballingarry is located 30 mins Southwest from Kilkenny. It is a very quiet small town, which we were looking for. The lodge is a separate house with all you need. The family was very welcoming and nice. We would definitely come back here and recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a quiet out of the city stay.
The lodge was very clean and modern. It is set in beautiful countryside . The hosts had left a book with all sorts of useful information even down to wifi code. Thank you so much for our lovely short stay. My daughter loved your pony. Would highly recommend.
This immaculate, tastefully decorated apartment is perfectly located for exploring this area of Southeast Ireland. The peaceful country setting offers beautiful views of the surrounding Irish countryside.
Even better than the accommodation were the hosts! Avril and Michael graciously anticipated our every need and were available to answer questions and offer suggestions for touring. This lovely family and their friendly dogs (as well as their cute pony) made our stay memorable and exceptional.
True Irish hospitality!
Many thanks to Avril and Michael for allowing to rent this lovely lodge out. If you love the countryside this is the place to come in rural tipperary. It's been beautifully converted from a stable and has everything you would need in it. Avril is great with communication and is next door if you need anything. There is a local taxi service available in ballingarry, if you ask Avril for details. Very handy if you need a night out outside of ballingarry! Thanks again to Avril and Michael for everything. We look forward to coming back again!
We had a lovely stay, the cottage was perfect for the two of us. Had all we needed and a little extra from the host 😊. The host’s were quick to respond to any requests and respected our privacy, which was greatly appreciated. The cottage is about 50 yards or less from the main house, but never any noise issues. The location worked for us, we had a rental. We were able to travel to Killarney, Kerry Cliffs, Waterville, Glendalough, Kilkenny and a few more places. It took a little over 2 1/2 hours to get to Kerry Cliffs one way and 2 1/2 hours the other way to Glendalough. We highly recommend the location if you have a vehicle and the host’s were great!!!
Our stay at The Lodge was wonderful. Such a cute little home with thoughtful touches , such as breakfast pastries, milk, butter and jam. The view is amazing and the hosts very helpful. Thank you.
Great accommodations, nice area. Tried the local take away and was not disappointed. The horse and the dogs were friendly. Got info for things to do. Went on a walk on a trail, very nice.
Thanks
