Sights and attractions in Baška
One of the most attractive locations in the region is undoubtedly Vela plaža, the most popular among swimmers. One of the symbols of Baška and a key element of the landscape, it is 1800 meters long and faces the crystal clear sea. Since 1999, it has been the proud winner of the European Blue Flag award, which testifies to its high quality standards.
Visitors can expect numerous activities and entertainment: restaurants and cafes are present everywhere, and pedal boats, windsurfing boards, umbrellas and deck chairs are available for rent.In addition to Vela Plaža, Baška has more than thirty beaches; the most famous of them are those near the coves of Vela Luka and Mala Luka, the FKK beach near the Bunculuka campsite, and the beaches of Konjska, Vrženica, Jablanovo, Storišće and Dubna.
While many beaches can be reached on foot, some require a boat or taxi ride; the distant view offered by the latter option, however, allows for a better enjoyment of the beautiful local beaches surrounded by peace and quiet.

"JOURNEY TO THE MOON"The 7.5 km long "Path to the Moon" trail is suitable for both hikers and cyclists, and runs mostly through a forest area; then it reaches a completely barren area called the "Moon Plateau", which resembles a rocky desert and is one of the must-see locations in the region.
BAŠKA AQUARIUMIn the very center of Baška, you can get to know the rich and diverse underwater world of the Croatian Adriatic through one of the largest collections of Adriatic shells and sea snails in Croatia. The Baška Aquarium, on an area of 200 m² , is home to 21 aquariums with a hundred species of fish and four hundred species of shells and sea snails.
