The condo was is Great location on Folley. Needs a lot of cosmetic repairs and some major . Deck needs a lot of work. Updating inside. But for the price it was nice The owner was great when we meet him. Over all the place was roomy and comfortable.

This condo is in a fantastic location on Folly Beach. However the unit is in need of updates. Thankfully the beds were comfortable. The living room furniture is quite worn and musty. The bedroom carpets need to be replaced. The main bathroom needs to be refurbished. The porch is wonderful but the furniture is plastic and not very inviting. The windows on the porch are to be replaced and it is definitely needed—along with the sliding door in the main bedroom. The kitchen was adequate. Thankfully the beach and ocean view made my stay.

Worst beach house experience - Do not recommend

If you are considering this rental for your family, do yourselves a favor and find somewhere else. We had nothing but issues with this place. We spent the first 2 days of our trip dealing with a broken AC. The condo was 80 degrees upon check-in and the owner was argumentative and rude to several members of our family - more or less calling them incompetent for not knowing how to work the AC until he finally admitted there was a problem with it. The condo desperately needs updated and needs a deep cleaning! We had several dustpans full of dirt and dog hair and spent the whole first evening cleaning the floors and bathrooms and counters - despite the owner stating he had “the best cleaning lady around”. The condo smells very musty - we had to buy air fresheners and sprays to try to mask the smell. All carpet in the unit needs replaced - nasty dark spots and it felt damp from moisture. The owner argued that “cleanliness is a matter of perspective”. We also highly suspect - but according to the owner “can’t prove” that there is mold - several moldy looking places especially in the bathrooms. We would especially not recommend for anyone that has medical conditions like asthma or COPD. There were many other issues and the owner ultimately stopped responding to our calls/texts. It is a shame that you save money all year to enjoy a family vacation, only to have to deal with issues like we had. We were very disappointed and will definitely not be staying here again.

Folly Beach visit

The property was ideal for visiting our daughter who lives in Charleston! Plenty of room for her and friends to visit after work and enjoy the views from the deck! The location was literally feet from the building! Downtown shops and restaurants were an easy walk as well. Could use some repairs as we did have an issue with the sliding door off the master bedroom which was handled in a timely fashion. Well worth the money merely for the location!

Loved the condo, easy walk to beach or restaurants. Loved having a secure, covered area to park our cars while we stayed. Everything was great, but they do need to do some updates. But, we understand it's a rental, so no big deal. We all had an awesome time. Thank you 😊

Loved the location. Beachfront and close to town. Loved the long walks in beach for miles. Enjoyed having separate bathrooms for each bedroom. Place could use some serious updates, but we would go back because of location!!

Fantastic Location

Location was the strongest point of this property. Nice view, two lovely balcony areas, just a block or two from shopping and restaurants, yet quiet and peaceful. Just a couple of minutes walk from the beach as well. We love the layout of this place and it was perfect for us and our small dog. It could use a little “refreshing“… Several lightbulbs out, and looks like it hasn’t been updated for a while. But it was very well stocked and we found absolutely everything we needed plus more. Would definitely stay here again!

Good beach-view condo in walking distance to town center

Small, quiet six-unit condo building across the street from beach, but with unobstructed views. No direct beach access, but public access point very close by. Carpet in bedrooms badly need professional cleaning or replacement. Beds in need of mattress covers but otherwise are comfortable. Layout of condo was great with three spacious bedrooms with their own baths. Balcony needs new smaller-scale chairs (current hodge-podge makes for cramped quarters on the living.room balcony). Lots of closet/ storage space and in-unit laundry. Good air conditioning. Newer, large keurig coffee machine. Convenient access to unit via elevator or stairs. Great ground level storage unit for beach stuff, and plenty of parking. Building common areas are clean and well maintained. Agree with other reviews that the unit itself could use some updating (particularly a freash coat of neutral paint), but otherwise we found it clean (except the carpet), convenient and overall a great week at the beach.

While the condo does require some repairs, it would not keep us from going back. Close to the beach and only few blocks from shops and restaurants. Double porch was great. Lots of room for family of four.

Beach with the Grandkids

The location of this property is perfect. Across from the beach and near downtown. The condo and the dishes were pretty dirty. Missing light bulbs in the bathrooms. (Open sockets) The ice maker was not working when we first got there and the light shades were not held on by anything. The beds and bedding were clean and comfortable. Overall we made it into a great trip.

Condo has a nice living space and layout

Condo is in close proximity to Center Street which is convenient; however, we were disappointed that it does not have direct beach access which was not addressed in property description or pictures. Did not go prepared for a Keurig coffee pot and did recommend to the owner to update the amenities list. The inside is nicely laid out, loved the double porch, jetted bathtub in master bedroom and the washer/dryer right in the condo. however the unit does need paint, minor repairs and some TLC in the appearance arena in addition to the wifi would drop in and out possibly because of the wind. Communicating with the owner through the VRBO message system was cumbersome, I found myself having to redo emails several times because somehow they wouldn't show up as having been sent. Despite difficulties/annoyances, folly beach always seems to make everything better!!!
